There are people who care on both sides of the argument. The younger generation is the one pushing more of these changes. It is done to provide an affirmative environment in an MMORPG for people to play characters that match their identity. Nothing is being taken away from those that insist on everything being binary. You still get to choose your gender identity in-game IF you want to. For WoW to survive they need to find ways to attract younger players. They have to evolve with the times and their customers. It’s commonly known as capitalism.
I’m amazed at the number of people so upset at something that has very little to zero impact on their gameplay.
Or people of similar leaning group up/join guilds and we dont have to deal with each other. Hence why Proudmore is generally a populated server, people who are not straight tend to congregate in said server.
I’m sorry, do you get offended when a woman corrects you that it’s Miss and not Ms.? Do you get offended when someone wants to be called Dr. and not Mr.?
Same thing here. It’s respect for others. You called it “delusional.” We’re not the problem here.
Funny thing is, all these Internet hardbois that refuse to back down from their “principles” probably wouldn’t say a damn thing in real life to actually support these viewpoints.
If someone started to refer to you in an insulting way instead of the name you gave them, I know for a fact you would get very offended and mad at that person. But people like you are well known hypocrites.
I hope that in the future you can outgrow your high school edgy phase.
And that’s what I said, if I say something wrong and someone goes “hey can you call me X instead?” Than I’d have no problem with it. But if you’re like that GameStop cretin “ItS Ma’Am” I’m absolutely gonna assume the screws in their head aren’t the tightest.
