As long as you could toggle all this off, I’d happily agree, The thing I cannot stand is being force fed changes because “there’s an addon to do this”. Addons I can choose not to use! If it’s in-game I cannot.
In fact make it so that any and all UI and so on change from 1.12 onwards are toggle-able!
It ain’t that deep bud just a haircut.
Then you’ll have no issues waiting until Wrath pre-patch if thats all it is.
Please sir just give me a haircut
… You mean your face? You have no hair.
How dare you.
Imagine not wanting dual spec as if that would hurt the game.
Would you be in favor of lowering the respec cost cap to like 10g or something like that?
Then respeccing for PvE or PvP or healers/tanks that need to respec to solo isn’t really an issue and then dual spec may not be necessary at all?
No.
Why would anybody want that?
Going to pay and swap your talents every time you want to pvp is the most annoying thing ever.
Just give me dual spec so I can enjoy pvp and pve without an annoyance that adds NOTHING to the gameplay.
Dual spec pls and ty
If dual spec is very expensive, then you might not save any gold just by adding dual spec and it’s still the same issue of being restrictive for people who want to swap specs because it’s so expensive.
It’s a big part of the Classic Vanilla gameplay that you aren’t able to just hot swap anywhere in the world at any time, that’s a thing.
To me I think respecs are currently a bit too restrictive and expensive, but I think just adding dual spec straight up with no restrictions is a step too far if the issue can be solved just by making it cheaper so people feel like they can respec more often without going broke.
So I think some kind of compromise like simply lowering the cost or adding a version of “dual spec” that functions the same as original respecs at the trainer, but it swaps your bars and gear for you is a good compromise.
this
and people who don’t get it usually play retail. just sayin.
and a 50g cap is already very reasonable.
it does add to gameplay, you just refuse to understand how
As a non-vanilla player, but as a WoW player since 2010, and someone who has skipped Classic in 2019 release until TBCC release, skipped SoM, SoD, HC, basically as someone who has skipped everything Vanilla related, it’s fairly evident I actually really do not like Vanilla WoW.
And that’s fine…I simply did not play not. HOWEVER NOW, my Cata classic guildies all wanna play it and I feel peer pressured into it and I’m afraid I might hate them all too…
So here is my 2 cents as a NON dedicated Vanilla player, as someone who frankly doesn’t care about Vanilla and will only really enjoy TBC (I love TBC), I say the more changes the better.
The game, to me, just feels broken man. 1 viable tank spec. Paladins don’t have taunts. Itemization is absolutely horrendous. 80% of specs are not viable. Buff limits brick druid hots. Debuff limits brick dps. Like, this is really messed up.
I’m just being honest about my intentions here.
of course you say that… you hate vanilla so you wanna change it but there’s a huge amount of people out there who love vanilla. maybe just accept that you are not the target audience.
Oh ya running to a trainer every other day is so immersive!
God you people don’t understand how quality of life stuff can improve a game.
You think spamming chat for groups while standing still and running back and forth to a trainer is immersive gameplay.
Exactly!
But then, you could argue - whom do you want to play the game?
The dedicated few?
Or the masses?
Is it better to discourage a few hardcover Vanilla lovers?
or is it better to lose thousands of casual players?
These kids honestly would love for a dead server where they can “explore” the barrens for the 5000th time.
Did you just say “You think you do, but you don’t”?
Sure they would. But then again, is it worth letting the few drool over it, and lose tons of potential players, or make a few a little upset, but get hella more players to play with everyone
It’s a tough balance for Blizzard to maintain.
So I guess we shall see what happens. In 2019, people started asking for changes within weeks of release. I remember it, as I was running keys and grinding Korthia back then. I actually got my druid to 40 and mage to 20 in Classic release and then I quit for good until TBCC came out lol And now I’m main CLassic player.
