Potential "Allied Race" candidates

As in the sethrak that we fought, NOT the ones that both factions allied with. I don’t recall anything about Vorrik having vulpera slaves, or Kiro or Nisha having any animosity towards him. Maybe bother trying to look up the difference between the Faithless and Devoted before you run your mouth.

The Sethrak have absolutely no reason to ally themselves with the Vulpera or the allies of the Vulpera.

I think you missed the part where the Devoted are already on good terms with the Horde after what transpired in Vol’dun. Sethraliss herself appeared during Talanji’s coronation.

This is one of my issues with the relentless campaign for Alliance sethrak: the idea that the writers should go back to Vol’dun, throw together some ad-hoc storyline about the Horde hurting Vorrik’s feelings, and then have it end with him deciding “Hey, let’s forsake these two races that we’ve lived alongside for years/decades/centuries and join this faction that we’ve known for all of 10 minutes. Who cares if the Horde’s champion is the reason our loa is back and we’re not all in chains?” Because apparently, bad writing is suddenly good if it means giving the Alliance playerbase access to a race that they and their sympathizers are desperately convinced they deserve when it was never even promised to them in the first place.

Remnants of the Faithless flee to join the Alliance rather then be hunted down for refusing to join the Devoted who side with the Zandalari and the Horde.

Ideas? A few.

Gnolls and Alliance? Ehhhhh. Factions are allies now I suppose but that still doesnt seem right. Gnolls as short? No, sorry. The idea they should be on horde brings me to my next suggestion. that they be super gnolls. Comparable in size to Worgen, so the horde can have their “wardogs” too. They may be allies, but that doesn’t mean the two governments still don’t compete with their assets.

Vrykul. Hmmmmm… I like it? I’d really love a giant race, I would? But I feel like its not going to happen because Blizzard probably feels like they already scratched that community itch with Kul Tirans or something. And if thats the case, it would be really great for them to have more vrykul or at least more drusty vrykul giant customization options.

Also a more slim, but bulky vrykul-like body type option would be great. If my gut feeling is accurate, Blizzard wants to use the dragons to test out their new body type “technology” (lol) so would be great to see it for other races, especially for the most rotund and thin of the races. Maybe a height slider too?

Wingless Dracthyr. Hell, at this point, I wish the evokers were wingless… might as well be. At least make my wing size accurately small enough to how actually not so air savvy they are.

Ogres. Uhhhh… yeah. Probably shoulda happened a long time ago but. Again, let’s improvise them with body types because I see a lot of complaints incoming even if ogres are particularly known to have the body type they gave player kul tirans. TBH though not exactly my cup of tea. Not saying they shouldnt happen just not really my preference.

Some kind of reformed Eredar would be fantastic, definitely woild be my draenei of choice, but since I generally hate being casters with stat sticks, it would be great if they wouldn’t skimp out on the shaman class again for another draenei. Just make sure they have demonic/warlock-ish racials so I can be a dark shaman.

Obviously they should be Horde, so they also get some spacefaring aliens. Literally all of the space surfers are on alliance.

And for the love of everything holy and unholy, please let their females take their stupid ugly tendrils off so they don’t have more next level transmog clipping issues like the other two female models.

My vote is for Mok’nathal. Rexxar currently uses either the male Kul’tiran rig or a slightly modified version of it, so why not use the Kul’tiran rigs and give Horde Mok’nathal. Blizz put the effort into those rigs and how many people actually play KT.

Wouldn’t mind seeing Eredar on Horde either, whether it be the main timeline ones or AU Draenor Sargerai ones that escaped with the Mag’har Orcs.

I think Horde should absolutely have Ogres. Problem is Alliance has no good “savage” equivilent that makes sense. Furblogs are about as best as you can get really.

The Nightborne and moose cows should have been neutral. Both sides helped them in massive ways and part of the original intent was to give each side access to the most popular model the other faction had. I can kind of agree with lightforged since their major leaders are pretty much on team blue just like I can respect Mag’har orcs staying red.

What I am genuinely surprised to see is that we didn’t get the 4 covenant soldiers as allied races. Each has fully animated denizens with enough uniqueness to justify them and an easy enough story plot to hook into and easy enough requirements to dream up (renown 80, finished the 3 campaigns, unique unlock questline). I thought allied races as a thing was a pretty cheap version of content since they are largely just repurposed skins with generally better racials, but I would have been quite on board with the 4 covenants since those are at least new models…ah well though.
