This will help prevent posts from shadow alts, but for the sake of new players I hope that this restriction doesn’t apply to the support forums.

The focus of a discussion should be on the contents of each post not the avatar the player chooses to post on. How about removing the armory link and level display from the forums all together? It won’t stop the armory trolls, but this will make it so they have to work a little bit more.

edit: also seems the new forums don’t enforce the need for subscription the old forums used to do.

Welp. And it looks like my over 10 shadow characters cant be picked either. At least its letting me post without an active wow acct

Well here are some of the example of level 1 alts over the years…

1-A level 1 troll called Obvious. Made a gender thread I believe.

2-A level 1 troll called Justkidding. Used to make some threads that you thought were serious until you saw his name…

3-Several other level 1 alts that would just come to stir up trouble and then disappear.

Make this Level 30+. Many Veterans can just choose a nightborne or high mountain race and start at level 20.

There’s so many loopholes to this…creating an allied race, creating a death knight, a demon hunter…

Maybe instead, the character you’re posting on has to have leveled 10 levels from the level it started on.

This isn’t punishing new players lol. It is definitely NOT new players who troll the forums on level one alts. It’s seasoned, jaded players who want to be as incendiary as possible with as few consequences as they can manage.
