Posting links?

I’m wondering why sometimes I can post links and sometimes I can’t. Does it have to do with my trust level?

A couple of days ago I was able to reply to a post and included a link to a Blizzard Support Article. Today, trying to respond to a post and include a link to a Blizzard Support Article I got a message “You cannot include links in your post”. It’s been very random. Sometimes I can include links to Wowhead and sometimes I can’t.

Are you always doing it from the same posting character? Trust Level is currently connected directly to the posting character.

Yes, this is the only character I ever use on the forums. Just yesterday I posted a link to Blizzards Refund Policy. Today I tried to post a link to the Authenticator Support Article and it says I can’t.

If u dont have lvl 3 alot of the support articles wont be accepted.

How do I tell what my trust level is?

Edit: And, why are all of the replies in this post being market as “Solution”?

Dobu have acess to the lvl 3 lounge on the forums.

I see the CS Lounge in this forum, is there another one?

Sub forums not here.

Then I guess not, because I don’t see a sub forum. I probably have a long way to go. Although I’m active in this forum quite a bit, I’m not as active as a lot of folks here.

It’s just confusing as to why sometimes I can post links and sometimes I can’t.

Some links are marked as safe by Blizzard that people without Trust Level 3 can use. This usually consist of Blizzard sites, and YouTube links. I think there is other sites, but I can’t confirm what they are.

That’s because you are the author of this thread. Both you or a SFA could mark a solution for the post.

I used to think that all Blizzard Support Articles were counted as safe but I think something has changed in the last few months.cl Don’t know why some Blizzard Support articles would be safe and others not.

That’s what is confusing me. Yesterday I was able to post a link to a Blizzard Support article and today I tried to post a link to a different Blizzard Support article and it said I couldn’t.

I think this might be a bug then. I know some people have said they have not been able to post links to Blizzard support articles, so might be best to report it over to the Website Bug Report forums.

All links that are on our site should be able to be posted, but some of them appear to not be sticking on the “approved list”, no matter how many times we’ve added them. >.<

It is something that is being looked into, but for now you can use the Preformatted text option to post a link.
