Post your exp!?!?!?!?!?!

i feel like having over 2k experience in past expansions amounts to a giant dog turd in the current meta. Am i the only one who gets a little miffed that people don’t want to play with you because you haven’t done rated arenas in the last couple expansions?

It’s like getting into a community college vs. an ivy league, one requires little to no experience while the other demands you to be consistently great.

Doesn’t make either one good or bad since it’s just personal preference, but it’s just that some people just don’t want their time wasted by fotm rolling glads who never ranked in any previous season but got boosted this season due to bad class balancing.

All I know is apparently my legion s7 and BFA s1 achieves are too old for people these days…

you have to play with friends if you have low gear and low cr, it’s always been like that

or play with other randoms with low gear/cr and not discriminate and just climb ur way that way

Tell me about it! apparently Field Marshal isn’t enough for the kids these days!

well the issue is kids think getting to 1800 easily in RBGs means the other ratings are meaningless lol

Seriously RBG rating is something else, I see so many 1600 arena players that are like 2.4K or higher in rbgs, as long as you have time to play rbgs and q a lot it’s basically impossible not to get 2.4

You saw a lot of the same in cata and early mop too. People with 0 rating in 2/3/5’s but grand marshals in rbgs. elite sets. etc.

First to answer your question.

WOTLK: Glad
Cata: 2200
MoP: 2400
WoD: 2200
Legion: Didn’t Play
BFA: 2500 BFA S4 in 2s, only played s4
SL: We’ll see. I keep doing this 2100-2350 yoyo

I mean that’s pretty standard to be honest. The game changes, technology changes and players change.

People who got Gladiator back in BC and Wrath when people still keyboard-turned wouldn’t even be on par with present-day Challengers if they had just come back to wow. Generally speaking, they’re fine if they have kept up that level of gameplay and evolved with the game.

People whose only Glad titles were back in BC are, bar none, some of the worst players I have ever met.

You shouldn’t be miffed about it. If you can’t demonstrate that you have actively kept up with the game then you can’t expect to be in invited. The same goes for M+ and Raids, you can link Realm First achievements from Wrath but do you really think that’s gonna get you an automatic invites to a heroic full clear when you have 0/12? It wont.

I was 2550 back in MOP on a rogue.

When I returned i realized that the arena landscape was so different that my old experience meant nothing. So many new abilities to learn , learned a new class.

I just qued with whoever, didnt care about rating cause i didnt feel like a 2500 player anymore and eventually ended up improving enough again to climb. Took me almost 1000 3’s games haha. 33/50 glad wins now tho eyyyy

I cant emphasize this enough

Finding people to play with at the end of BFA after being gone for all of legion and most of BFA was rough. Past xp didn’t matter.

This post sums it up really well. Excellent job!

yes i agreee very much to this post. shadowlands feels so much ahrder than bfa s4 at least for me which was when i started. i got like 2.1k in like 3 months and i havent een gotten 2k yet thsi season even though i feel like im playing a lot better and improved since bfa and i dont feel like that xp in bfa mattered at all for me cause like i wasnt even good at all in bfa and knew nothing. didnt learn a single thing cause i ahd to change specs anyway and didnt know any tricks to my class in bfa.

Yep this. Doing more or less the same. Hiding everything i can cause its no longer relevant and often set wrong expectations, either from people expecting a free climb or actually trying to get carried.

Will just play for fun from 0 to whatever i can get by the end of the xpack.
