Problem with black boxes like that is you don’t know if that’ll work.

It’d probably be easier and more foolproof to just make another forum toon because of this automated system going AWOL. Not something I want to do, and I really was at my limit with even engaging w/ the forums because of people being at each other’s throats.

It’s going to do the exact same thing. That’s how the system works.

It’s only this forum toon that’s affected…

Prior one I was using but was a “classic” toon wasn’t having any of this non-sense.

It might be because it’s Dracthyr. It could clear up once Dragonflight launches.

Kinda weird though how the system is still trying to spam-filter it for this thread despite a GM manually approving some comments already in this thread.

You’d think their marking system algo would “get the hint” from a forum mod.

Because with how these forums work, currently, forum privileges (other than being banned, or having beta forums access) are per character, not per account. That is: I have Trust Level 3 on this character, but if I go and post on one of my alt Etams, they’re effectively Trust Level 1, so I couldn’t post links on them. EDIT 3: Trust levels are now account wide. Whoops.

It doesn’t matter if you have a character that’s been in place ever since the start of this iteration of the forums, it will still scrutinize the brand new character that you make and post on as if it were the first day that person ever showed up on the forums… with all the weirdness and overzealous auto-modding that it entails.

EDIT: …wait a second, my alt Etam is a Regular (Trust Level 3) too, and he definitely doesn’t meet the requirements for it… <_<’

EDIT 2: Even my dracthyr, Zeralth-WyrmrestAccord, who just ‘joined’ the forums today is a Regular, too – what’s going on here?

They changed trust level to account wide over a year ago.

Oh. Guess that’s what I get for not keeping up with the forums, lol. :joy:

That said, the system does still take into account the join date of the character you’re posting on, rather than the join date of the first character you posted on with a given account – so if I were to post with Zeralth and start editing the post a bunch, it’d go poof – at least, until a moderator comes over and approves it for viewing.

I wish, but it is not account wide that I can tell. My alts can not post links. There seems to be some glitch where some people with certain beta flagging seem to have persistent trust levels?

For example I can’t make links on this char with exceptions of some white listed sites.

Testing - support is white listed now. That is good.

Oooh, maybe? I didn’t see anything officially stated but someone mentioned it and I checked and sure enough my alts have t3.

…Huh. I did have access to BFA, SL, and Dragonflight’s betas at some point during their respective betas…

My few day old Demon Hunter is T3.

That is due to you being in the beta group.

This alt has TL3 too, which is odd, but I have all the Beta access so I suspect that is it.

The post count, permissions, etc. are not technically supposed to be account wide, not that I know of.

It;s just weird… it must be a permanent setting because it is present always since the first time I noticed it whether or not there happens to be any beta open, or I am in it, at the time.

I don’t know, mine has always been t3 since the first time I noticed it was carrying over.

Yea it kinda sticks around. My starter account on EU has TL3 as well since it is under this Battle Net.

Well, I am not complaining. I do enjoy my t3, lol.

Guess I’m going to get no solution to this forum shadowban.

Commenting/posting anything to other threads just get things auto removed instantly. Looks like forum moderators don’t have access to unmarking people that are marked for some reason.

Waiting hours for CMs to approve 30% of the comments in other sub forums isn’t a viable mitigation/workaround.
