Post-chat silence, can't invite people to party

So I got mass reported into a week-long silence. I know, a lot of people claiming to have been wrongfully reported, are full of it, and said some horrible stuff. I didn’t, I promise.

Now that it’s over, I’m still unable to invite most people to a party. As soon as I invite someone, I get a message that they’ve declined the invite. Those people tell me that they aren’t getting the invite, though, and that they aren’t declining. This happens with MOST people, but oddly, some people do get the invite.

Now there are multiple threads on these forums and Reddit that all say this is an issue on YOUR end. Of course, your overseas outsourced CS team is insisting it’s an addon issue. I already checked for that, otherwise I wouldn’t have messaged them.

They’re telling me to come to you. There are threads here of a similar nature, telling the requester to go to them. Y’all truly make Comcast’s support teams look good, lmao. Please fix my account.

I would edit this to move to CS to have the silence reviewed by a moderator. I could be you are short of the time before the silence drops off. 7 days means 7 days to the second. The support staff either reside in Austin TX or Anaheim CA for the US region. Sometimes the EU staff will work tickets in the US, or vice versa if ticket wait times are high.

Drop the parts about mass reports and outsourced support. Neither are true. It only takes 1 report to lead to a penalty, and chat logs are used to review those, it does not always have to be directed at someone or using foul language. Toxic chat, masked language, even bad RP profiles are considered against the rules.

You could also put in a ticket to review to see if they can see if the penalty should have dropped off, but do not use the appeal ticket system as that will only lead to a upheld penalty.

Sometimes resetting your password will work.

Then the silence has nothing to do with the invite status? I would still have to invite you to check with CS, rather then file a bug. Did you try the password reset?

Moved this over here so I could answer it, Lexolotl.

There is a bug they’ve been working on with silences. No, you weren’t ‘mass reported’ - you were reported by several people, but all for the same whisper that seems to make no sense. Why you sent it, or what you meant to say I don’t know, but that’s what got you a silence.

This was actually considered harassment.

The natural end to this should be late this evening. You are correct in some cases the silence isn’t releasing.

If this does not expire naturally at its appointed time, do let us know tomorrow and we can have another look.

All CS staff is still in-house btw, even if their numbers have dwindled after the MicroCut.
