What if the kiss curse rewards were based on the correct execution of mechanics? You interrupted the correct ability? Group gets a brief buff. Rotate which mechanics need to be dealt with, make it harder as you progress (More mechanics to manage). Make it a cool visual - sparkles or an eruption or a giant middle finger to a boss, The dungeon gets easier and more forgiving as you do it correctly. Players feel cool and it helps them learn.

Just throwing speghetti at the wall. You are already punished in higher keys (You will be one shot by mechanics for missing a pivotal interrupt) for these things. Why not give a reward in lower keys to incentivize the behavior for harder content.
