Possible Fix for Quest: Materials of Significance

Continuing the discussion from Quest Materials of Significance bug:

As of this week, there maybe a solution.
In Booty Bay there is a goblin vendor Rix Xizzix. This goblin can be found by Auctioneer Graves (who is not the one by the Booty Bay bank but tucked away to the left of the big open market building)
Rix Xizzix offers Symbol of Faith for free, once received it has NO MORE INVENTORY of Symbol of Faith. Confirmed all this as of this week and was able to re-accept quest “Materials of Significance “ and have it registered with the quest mechanics.
Now I just need to re-grind the rest of the materials, this time around my server’s dead (Long Live Lava Lash!) so it will be harder to group for the dungeon parts but I’ll try to figure it out.

Update: this does in fact work. and he still had stock after I purchased it. I have since completed the quest and obtained the rune, thank the WoW gods. I wish I had read your post 18 days ago because this fix was not available when I first encountered the bug and I had given up when I got no response to my many many bug reports.

You sir, are a saint! I had accidentally deleted this when clearing out my bags after coming back for P4. Was tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to get this back. Had given up hope of being able to actually tank on my pally.
