I have ported into Stormwind from Ashran several times. The first time, there were several characters in the room and everything seemed normal. I was able to exit to Stormwind. Since last night, I have tried to port to Stormwind and the portal room is completely void of other players and there are no portals.

Sounds like a phasing issue you can try killing your self see if that clears it up or do some of the quests that takes place in SW thats in your quest log.

Thanks for the response. Can’t figure out how to kill myself while in the portal room since there are no hazards I can find in the “phase” I seem to be stuck in. The only quests I have are some draenor quests. Tried grouping with someone in the portal room and then ported to Stormwind with no luck.
While in the portal room, another character ported in and has the same issue.
Have you completed the questline for Legion that finishes in Stormwind? It should finish up with Illidari Allies:

I believe I have completed the quest line. I actually ported to Stormwind from Ashran and completed the initial legion quest. Since then I get the issue of no portals in the Stormwind portal room.
Tried the swim until fatigued and die trick to no avail.
Mite not be a UI issue but a FULL reset wouldnt hurt https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7549 you can also open a stuck on quest ticket and see if a GM can help you out.

Get this sorted? I agree, this does sound like a phasing issue of some type.
I still have the same issue. I just tried porting to the Stormwind portal room and see the same issue. I tried porting to the graveyard and ended up back in Lions Den. I am at a loss. I can only take so much of Draenor.

Have you tried the FULL UI reset that i posted above otherwise id open a stuck on quest ticket at this point.

Stormwind portals in the mage tower, do not work for me either. Also, the NPCs in Stormwind are missing and so is the monument in Lion’s Rest. I submit 3 tickets for stuck on quest, wow says, no tickets are submitted; I did FULL reset twice. in addition, The Legion Returns is not offered and is not on call board and no Recruiter Lee at Stormwind Harbor. and Archivist Elysiana in the Violet Citadel .

I still have this issue. It started 2 weeks ago. I have tried all recommendation from here and all over the internet. OK mr Orlyia or CS I can not fix this. Phasing issue??? then how do you fix this. If it is a quest I cant find it. Please answer my ticket.

You will need to be patient and wait until the queue has been managed to the point that your ticket is next. You aren’t the only person playing this game that needs assistance, and the CSAs here are not game masters. They can only confirm if they see a ticket in queue, but won’t deal with it themselves.

I am having the same issue. can take portals TO Stormwind into mage quarter, but there are no portals to take me out. Have to hearthstone out, but even then there are no players in Stormwind. All NPCs are there normally but no players. Tried flying up and killing myself, didn’t do anything. i have a quest i can turn in in Boralus but i accidentally left there without setting my hearthstone and have no way back. Also this issue is only on this character. It started right as the new portal room went live, and every other alliance character on this realm has them fine except this one.
In most situations the phasing is because you are part way through a quest that changes the area. Such as with the Legion starting quests.
That would be your issue, Alptud. You started the Legion quests but stopped after “The Fallen Lion”, so Stormwind is currently in mourning for its king. You need to progress the story.
If you look at your map of Stormwind you should have a quest in Stormwind Keep available called “Demons Among Us”. You’ll want to pick that up and finish the quest line.
