Blizz’s response to that was the biggest crock i have ever read.
Seriously Blizz, whay would you not keep it in so players that do not raid have something to do for the next 4 months or more? It hurt no one! You are just a greedy company that values sals of level 60 boosts over your biggest % of the player base!
One of the aspects of being a Community Council is to strive to bring suggestions, feedback, constructive criticism and concerns to the forefront and give it a voice. You don’t have to agree with what I had to say in the community council section, I’m absolutely fine with that. I’m not here to get everyone to be 100% agreeable to everything I say, I’m not here for an echo chamber, I’m here to offer suggestions, feedback, criticism, concerns And hopefully continue to better the game as a whole for every type of player than enjoys the game.
Feel free to toss insults at me, I assure you I have very thick skin and it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I’ve been posting on forums, message boards and newsgroups dating back all the way to USENET groups probably before you were even born, so I’m pretty good at what I do.
You made a holy priest to try that class, that’s fine, you did that because you wouldn’t have to slog through SL content for as long thanks to the exp buff.
You didn’t make a holy priest specifically to level for Season 4. You did it PURELY because of the exp boost allowing you to get to a level where you could actually experience how the class works at end game.
If season 4 weren’t a thing you likely would have still made the Hpriest while the exp buff was active.
Or are these assertions incorrect, and you made/leveled a new class you were interested in trying (even though you found you really liked it, and I agree, HPriest can be fun, as can resto shaman!) SPECIFICALLY for season 4, not because the SL grind would be minimized.
Yes, and that experience is season 4 content. I leveled it to play it in season 4. I really am looking forward to and want to play season 4 content. I didn’t play fit most of SL - the chance to experience all the raids is really appealing to me.
Ergo: the boost is why you made the character, not Season 4 specifically. Without the boost you would not have made them. With the boost you did.
The boost could easily stay till DF PrePatch, but was removed because, by Bliz’s assbackwards thought process, people leveling alts they might be interested in, is detrimental to people doing completely separate end game content, some how.
Yet again Blizz proving they don’t give a crap about the silent majority that Ion said they supposedly cared about in an interview. Keep being two-faced Blizz, maybe eventually you’ll drive all the silent majority away and make this game into another Wildstar.
God, that game was such a let down BECAUSE of the hardcore push and the hyper monetization, it had the ability to be great, but they went about it the wrong way. Player housing in there was PERFECT with the whole ‘pocket dimension’ styling they did for it, how clear the damage zones for strong attacks were, the fact that the MAJORITY of abilities could be used while moving, and just…the Level Up fanfare REALLY made you psyched up too, and then they blew it by doing what WoW is doing, right now. Trying to push people into more micro trans while having a sub requirement, only catering to the hardcore minority, and treating the majority like second class consumers.
Because God forbid keeping something people like in the game. This isn’t even one step forward, two steps back. This is one step forward, then shoot yourself in both feet and crawl all the way back to the god damn starting line. What was the point of getting rid of that buff? The expansion is over. Let people level up alts so that they’re ready to hit dragonflight going. It’s almost like every time they do something good, they can’t stand it.
I unsubbed at the beginning of 2021. Then I saw the new trailers and I thought, “I might give this a go.” Then they announced the experience buff, and I rolled a shaman for the first time since Wrath, leveled him all the way up and got him flying in shadowlands in about a week. I was going to do the same with a warrior which I haven’t played since Burning Crusade, and nope, buff is gone.
