I feel like it would have been a more meaningful question to ask about alts: What’s the average cloak rank for your alts?
I quit playing all alts in BfA and have no intention of getting a cloak for any of them.

Mine’s at 6, I do have plenty of vessels but working 8 hour days and having to do other activities for gear/essences leaves little time to do much until the weekend
I hate this system. My cloak is maxed at 12. I will get it to 15, but then I’m through with it. If it wasn’t for raiding for AOTC I wouldn’t bother. None of my alts even have the cloak.
Leveled up the neck piece this entire expansion. It’s still not maxed because I can’t be bothered to deal with focusing on it anymore. It’ll get there when it gets there. Wish I could say the same about the cloak, but alas I have to farm a currency to buy a currency to enter content I enjoy running.
I like HV. I don’t mind leveling the cloak in the grand scheme. The farming of currency to buy currency to farm the cloak levels it what sucks. The quest are the same regardless which zone, Uldum or Pandaria. Boring dribble, and tiring. None of my alts will be doing it.

Oh no a second slot you can’t switch. They even picked the least stat efficient slot besides bracers.

Your initial claim was pieces you cannot change. If we want to move down to BiS then not a single slot has been changeable. Even pre-8.3 cloaks. I change my azerite all the time based on encounters personally.

Mine is still at level 1. I really don’t have any reason why I haven’t level it other than I’m trying to level up my Vulpera and Mechagnome first. But—before that…I’m taking a short break from WoW and just reading the forums.

I have rank 12 cloak on this toon and my alliance DH. Got my rogue’s cloak up to 5 but not doing anything else with it now. I don’t raid or run M+ so I’m enjoying having the horrific visions as solo content to run that provides some challenge.
This Warlock and my Void Elf Warlock are at Level 12 with the legendary cloak.
Working on my 2 Hunters next but at a slower pace.
I don’t even have one. Might decide to do the content eventually.
Max level always. I usually do it after raid tuesday but this week I made an exception so I’d have the proc for raid.
I collected all masks and so far managed a solo run while wearing 2 masks. Would’ve tried with more but I ran out of vessels. Today’s uldum assault should allow me to try 3 masks.
Not taking your poll as i run max level toon of every race. Have I think 10 cloaks, highest is on my main at 10, most are 3-6, two have no cloak and likely will not ever get it as I simply cant do it yet again. I do enjoy having an upgrade process I can solo if i choose, even have research to support solo. Two posts about the cloak? A suspicious person may suspect dev’s realize maybe the cloak isn’t as popular as hoped and looking for validation. No way they dont have access to this info without a poll.

The cloak is another peace of addictive candy, much like the necklace. Even if you really don’t need it full upgraded to it max power all the time. You try to keep it there because something keeps calling to you that says you should.
“Let them farm” is exactly why it is locked behind a key. Blizzard doesn’t want players farming mementos like they farm AP, and socketing all their items a month after 8.3 releases. Not that everyone would have done that, but enough would that it would trivialize some content. That much is painfully obvious. I guess if they removed the key gate, they’d probably limit the amount of sockets a player could add to their gear.
Sockets are just worth too much in terms of power upgrade per item, and Blizzard is likely holding that off as much as possible so we don’t overpower their encounters too soon.
Nothing else is coming to BFA. Blizzard needs to make sure this content lasts until at least early September – I choose that date because the week of September 8 is the final week of cloak upgrades post rank 15.
Oh they do. They know that players aren’t getting the cloak and then complaining corruption items are killing them. They are putting the focus on it so people that might not know will get the cloak.

To be perfectly honest I have been doing older content on my Death Knight and her cloak is only level 5 (Yeah been slacking or something like that.) I just know this patch is going to have to last until Shadowlands comes out so I tend to drag things out.
