Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

yeah exactly i just asked this in the MB discord since we all peeping right now… and everyone was like WTf thats a thing

Wow, I honestly am surprised. Great step in maintaining integrity in the game. Very excellent decision blizzard.

Feel like addressing fly hackers and the rampant botting is far more serious than some guy playing 2 characters

But this is Blizzard were talking about

I know what a KVM switch is. I’ve been building computers for 25 years.

I was saying there will be something easier than doing this soon enough I’m sure.

Last I checked a few times to hop around I saw alot of people in SW even during off peak hours. Unfortunately just has been no time to play cause of corruption farm and trying to get rank 4 essences for azeroth’s champion title. Would like to hit 60 before tbc launch.

I am AMAZED that they actually did this after all this time.

One thing that probably spearheaded this is the fact that you see multibox mages doing shady RMT things. Stratholme, leveling up mages to 60 to sell the accounts, etc.

You can thank gold sellers for this one.

No most probably don’t want to admit it. Cause I bet the guy on my server that has 40ish account doesn’t pay full price for each one.

Also they get robbed money on a lot of it cause of the wow tokens.

I live in Brazil so I know what my sub costs, and there are multiple people in my guild that use multiboxing for summons, and that’s what they do.

VM can easily not be detected by warden and also is allowed so VM will be used so will kvm… by legit normal boxers… the gold sellers will and always will bot farm for RMT and i bet right now the gold sellers are loving this change this means good business for them… while the anti boxers think they won… they only loss as they just attacked the largest sources of people that mass report bots and helped curb bottter margins of profit… now botters have a greater free reign. and you will realize this soon enough once SL drops… enjoy the mess 15yrs of blaming the wrong group will bring you

Every wow token sale is actually +33% of a normal monthly sub.

And buying a token to sell is dependent upon you having an active sub not funded by wowtokens.

congrats you know a few… i know 300 that just said WTF

I feel like you dont know what a KVM does. It lets you toggle which machine your inputting to. It doesn’t mirror the key strokes across multiple machines.

its easy to fund gold for 40 accounts with gold… if one account can make sub gold in 12hrs play time then 40 accounts can make sub time with 12hrs thats how it works lol…

my old one split the actions… i feel like you only had the budget kvm boxes

Easy tiger, I’m not against mutliboxing. I’ve always been on your side.

I think this change is idiotic, because it won’t stop what they think it will stop.

All the stuff people have been complaining “multiboxers” have been doing to the game, they are going to find out the majority of it was something else.

Just closed 9 accounts :frowning: Pathetic way to try to curb botting. This company has gone downhill so much since it became Activision.

hopefully yall finally stop

i wasnt directed at you. and yep they in for a rude awakening when they realize that the crafters that bought from us cheap mats directly and sold their crafts on ah reasonable are now gonna gouge them in prices… meanwhile bots will influx for raw gold to feed the RMT machine unchecked by multiboxers that could actually out TAG mobs over the bots

Yes but the point is they never lose money on the interaction because the cost of the token is worth more than a 1 month sub. So I don’t see how someone funding their sub through gold alone makes them lose money. It only gains them money in comparison to everyone having to pay completely out of pocket.

If anything them denying software multiboxing was likely them seeing how many people quit vs what they gained by keeping it going. And I am glad they made this decision.
