Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

That’s not bannable :weary:

Sorry, should have said it’s a display of likely abuse and worth a report. Yes hardware setups could do this, but I think it’s fair to report something when it is highly likely.
In the same way you’d report someone who runs into a wall, bounces off, runs back in, turn a little, bounces off, mines a node, doesn’t reply to you, does some weird spinny stuff, sits around, and goes back to their starting point. Technically that could be a real player who chooses to do that and not reply to you, but it’s reasonably likely a bot.

Chromie time is why this is happening.

Chromie time has made the world 14 times as big with 7 xpacs and 7 wm

deflation is coming to all server. you can’t stop multiboxing you cant stop bots.

blizzard messed up and put 14 times the mob/herb/mining in the game.

use your brains people blizzard messed up and is being reactionary.
They don’t care about your fairness or QoL.

Bots have saturated the game since vanilla and they allowed it because of money. now that bots are 14 times as profitable due to chromie time blizzard is making changes.

The new shop items are to counter projected botting and multiboxing revenue loss.

The people who make your game are playing you.

I can’t stop anyone from doing anything

This also could become a issue where a multiboxer has many idle characters that just need to tag the mob and the main fights the mob.

It will be rather downgrading to the game to see at events such as world bosses or even lfr as all they need to do is /follow and hit a single spell per death

Mobs scale with # of tags in most cases. Current world bosses don’t but are tediously long to solo anyway. Aside from getting extra mount chances on old world bosses, most scaling content is going to require proportionally more time to do this way.

As for LFR if a multiboxxer isn’t contributing then they should be kicked. If a multiboxxer has so many players in the raid that it prevents kicking AND they aren’t reasonably contributing/are blocking progressing of the LFR instance, then they should be reported for griefing via preventing the rest of the players from using an intended game system (vote to kick)

Yes, like I am guessing it would be rather downgrading to the game to see.

My point was just that you probably aren’t going to see much of it, as there is little benefit to be had.

I’ve been 2-boxing since Vanilla (after doing it for years in EQ). This has been a part of MMOs since MMOs were MMOs

You never saw much of it before lol

I understand the need to reduce bots and exploitation in the game but how can a reputable company make a significant policy change and then refuse to refund subscriptions? Sure, if you do not like the changes you can stop playing the game but Blizzard already has you money so they do not care.

This policy has been in place since the game first came out but it is only now an issue?

I have had three accounts for the last 10 years and have enjoyed the challenge of three-manning dungeons, scenarios, quests etc. I have invested a lot of time and a LOT of money in WoW but it looks like now is the time to move on.

Just won my Subscription back with this move Blizzard! Good Job listening to the feedback given by the community!

100% agree but people are attached to their anecdotes.

I’ve mentioned elsewhere that I have encountered far more single-boxing players abusing exploits to grief and far more AH-players manipulating prices than I have multiboxers hindering my gameplay or negatively impacting the AH.

this isnt going to stop botting when chromie time increased botting profit by 14 times.

Bots and multibokers are going to continue to play as the economy just got 14 times as large.

Chromie time = 7 xpacs WM = 7 as well thats 14 do the math. thats alot of gold when even 1 toon is in 14 different places aoe just a small group of instant spawn mobs.

but go ahead and think its a change that will solve a perceived problem you have with the game. its true bots are gross but don’t think a simple change in tos is going to stop “criminals” from operating.

That’s awesome! Glad to have you back brother. Gathering professions in SL are looking so promising for legit players!

yes yes enjoy your 14 times the saturation. Welcome back to wow.

this is the guy who signs stuff then comes back complaining that this isnt what he signed up for.

I would suggest googling, from what I hear the nodes on beta are pretty sparse

Yep me too. Blizzard really does care about their own game.
