Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

Really odd that Blizzard would choose to lose so many subs on the precipice of Shadowlands. The decision-making process does seem oddly consistent though.

Thank you so much for this I have reported several of these guys due to not being able to quest on my alts or main because these guys are in quest hubs killing everything and keeping us from completing quests and world quests. Thank you Blizzard!

/facepalm Aight, let me explain. Before you can create your account and play, you have to SIGN an agreement clause in which you are accepting to adhere to the terms of use and code of conduct, it’s pretty much a legally binding contract.

In the ToU, it is stated that third party software that automates gameplay is NOT SUPPORTED. Not supported doesn’t mean it’s “ok”. If you incur in actions that are not supported by the provider, it means that the provider is legally off the hook to provide you with further assistance, that means, if your account gets hacked, if you lose your password while using said software, you’re screwed.

It also means, that if Blizzard ever decides that a non-supported behavior is damaging its business or the company simply doesn’t want to keep it in a gray area anymore, they can change it on a whim and make it a bannable offense without recourse.

It might seem unfair to some, but it’s not Blizzard’s fault that people sign contracts without reading it thoroughly.

possibly but i’d also consider that the world got 14 times as big with chromie time meaning there is actually now 14 times as many mobs/herbs and mining nodes in the game

Lazy ppl will still be lazy does not matter if you increase the nodes :rofl:

MBers don’t pay for subs. They use the gold they earn to buy tokens.

I’d say thats more so a botnet kind of operation but in theory yes a multiboxer has the farming means to generate enough gold to completly afford account 2 and on with wowgold.

as an active twink on Xpoff I can say that most of my twinking comrades multibox with actual irl money

Lesson: if your can’t 100% solve a problem then give up and don’t even try.

Funny to see blizzard actually take a stance against it. Hopefully it’s not just a slap on the wrist. Let’s just be honest it has gone way out of hand, not just talking about botting but normal people “afk” farming using software like this. It’s so common it’s ridiculous.

They’re just trying to use words to their advantage… but they have banned multi boxing. Multi boxing Implies that both accounts are punching at the same time. Without software there will be no way to do it. What they’re still allowing tho is boosting…

@Blizzard
What is your stance on hardware boxing using multiple computer with a Vetra Keyboard Multicaster?

I have a feeling I know but I just wanted clarification on the subject.
