Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

In the old days it was done with hardware, a pc for each game client and a kvm switch to connect keyboard and mouse to each pc (box). Probably some will go back to that kind of setup, most will likely quit or eventually get banned.

Now we can actually say the covenant system achieved something good!

It’s not bad for dual boxing, but I setup a third account and there’s no way that would be fun or enjoyable anymore. It’s not like i even farmed that much with 3. It was mostly something different to do and learn. It was fun figuring out how to script commands so that one button would do something the first time you pressed it and something else the second time.

I wish they had just put a cap on how many simultaneous boxes you could run instead of a blanket ban.

You are funny

Good. I don’t necessarily see the issue with maybe playing with a second or third but in my years of playing I’ve had one on my realm who eventually grew up to 30+ characters, there’s another that plays Classic these days and has more than 40, and then of course the consideration that this change to the game policy happened because boxers were finding easy ways to farm up gold and therefore not have to pay real $ for the game.

Just to confirm - I am no longer allowed to use AutoHotKey to multibox World of Warcraft? Or is this specifically directed at software like ISBoxer (which I don’t use)?

Thanks in advance for clarification.

This guy thinks being 1 person behind the PC and being able to hit someone 50 times at once isn’t “Unfair or advantageous”

Both hopefully, game ruiner

Some of them are hitting, gold caps in a day or less.

If you had a dozen or so accounts there are things in the game right now, where you can hit gold cap just about everyday.

This honestly should have been done a decade and a half ago.

Glad to see the end of Multi-Botters.

computers are cheaper than ever, there will still be plenty of multiboxing, now (again) with multiple boxes.

Good move, thank you Blizzard.

World 1st raiders didn’t “suddenly” pick up multiboxing. They’ve been doing it a long time to keep up there minimum character requirements for splits/bench warmers.

They only thing that was change is HOW you multibox, now whether you can or not, so this:

Doesn’t even track.

Multiboxing isn’t now, nor was it before, cheating, no matter how much you want it to be.

This change just makes it harder to do, not make it ILLEGAL.

Thank you for making the decision to quit that much easier. GG chargeback on all my accounts for all game time as well as shadowlands.

Sigh… I loved killing multi-boxxers. Lame.

Friend, I would like to inform you that ‘everyone’ is going to be a vastly smaller number than you are implying. If you mean to say that consumable prices going up in a player driven economy is a ‘punishment’ on us by the developers, then I think you’re putting the blame in the wrong place. Otherwise, it’s just too early to cry that the sky is falling.

Nice.

Glad I’ve been taking the time to report those druid farm-bots.
