Only banning software is an interesting choice. Hardware multiboxing increases the complexity and cost sufficiently in my eyes to deter casualBoxxers but for nerdbros it’s like banning pepsi but coke is ok.

You can’t program a bot to use a hardware multiplexxer easily because it’s an interface EXTERNAL to the computer, Just the same as you can’t code one easily to use hypervisors and virtual machines.
This will put a dent in the bots out there for all of 5 minutes, Negatively impact amature multiboxers and then the bots will come back.

people will always take the easier route, multiboxer abusers obviously use this program and now blizzard is over it. the population of nerds farming the same spot 24/7 on 20 characters will dwindle because now it takes actually effort to multibox. rejoice!

This is just blatantly wrong. It requires warden to be updated, legal team to adjust legal documents, and the GM time required to enforce the policy.

It really doesn’t, Blizzard just saying X will deter most people and net a large result, Updating warden will take a tiny amount of time, And the legal documents would be done by lawyers they were already paying anyway so there is no cost there.
Don’t assume that those players won’t be targeted by other means. This frees up time to go after others.
Why would they be targeted, Blizzard isn’t AGAINST multiboxing.
