If you can’t see how it is mate then there’s no amount of explaining that will change your mind, not that I care about doing it.
Learn to alt+tab faster. If you’re just dualing between 2 accounts, it isn’t that bad.
Oh yeah, I know it can still be done. It’s just people don’t see beyond themselves for this.
Blizz finally realized what everyone has known all along, its P2W.
That or the whales dont like it and they are doing anything to try and get more players spending on the in game shop.
It’s not going to hurt RP multiboxing because generally we don’t use 3rd party software to do anything. It’s mostly /follow, jump on a 2 person mount and use different windows to type in.
the most expensive sub is 14.99… a token is 19.99… your math skills suck
well… it is now lol
the people who make the rules (blizzard) say it is.
it’s that simple.
You don’t have to agree to it (I don’t) but they make the rules, not us.
…when you buy it with gold it costs real money? Didn’t know that.
okay so you don’t actually have an argument.
cheating in a game provides an unfair advantage over others.
i wouldn’t call needing to pay for 50 characters, an “advantage”
Finally this is good news, thanks Blizzard!
The thing is alot of the really big multiboxxers use VPN’s and grab clients in countries with favorable exchanges rates to pay a fraction of the sub cost they would normally. The money lost will be far less impactful then the amount of accounts they stop.
If multiboxing is p2w, i think buying level upgrade tokens would with in that slot as well.
yeah sure, be happy with your thoughts my friend as I am with this news.
5 would have been fine. Anything more than that is people just taking advantage of an unregulated system.
Yeah, pretty much this. And now because people whined so much they shut the entire thing down rather than turn the implied limit into a hard rule.
It’s whatever. I gave it a shot years ago and it wasn’t for me anyway.
I just hate to see something get ruined because a bunch of people abused it.
Can I get my money back for Shadowlands on my second account? No reason for a second account if I can’t multibox. Dropping this right before the new expansion when many people have already purchased SL is not customer friendly.
I Have seen thousands of druid bots multiboxing ( but botting- All going in different directions to kill and loot, but all the same person with goofy names like pbchg , pbchd, pbcjt, those arent the names but stuff like that) anyways I looked them up they have several dozens guilds filled with these bots, all with goofy names exactly the same. And the only guild achievement is loot 200,000 gold from mobs same day. Anyways SO so SO so So SO happy.
NOW limit Free to play ( no expansion bought) accounts to a 20k gold cap until they purchase and expansion, and a 2000 resource cap( herbs ore) as well account wide So they cant just use throw away accounts, all day long.
So will hardware multiplexing be considered ban able going forward? That is running one copy of the game per PC and wiring the same keyboard to all of them with no special software involved at all.
Multiboxing on its own is not inherently cheating, but there is no way to determine if someone is playing “fair” with it or not short of manual review, which means the whole thing is out because of the heavy abuse it gets in World PvP / Warmode and Griefing / Zone Disruption contexts.
Or they determined that progressing multiple characters at once is more impactful now than it used to be because of parallel progression systems, in which case, again, boom, gone, whole thing’s dead Jim.
First off, it’s “how was multiboxing cheating” because now multiboxing is cheating so the past means nothing anymore.
Just like in real life, we make laws, then sometimes repeal those laws. This is the case now with WoW.
Based.
