All Iām saying is that blizzard has never ever ever been responsive to doing something about multiboxing. They could have just as easily said THIS IS BANNED or this WILL RESULT IN A BAN. Instead they update their page addressing the current stance on multiboxing to reflect that they are in no way against it and that it simply āmayā result in a penalty. They updated this after they posted the news and during the middle of all the people freaking out on the forums

Glad blizz took a stand on this. I get the idea of playing multiple accounts for fun, but when you are rolling around with like 40 accounts then you are cheesing the system no doubt.
As a multiboxer for the past 3 years, using ISBoxer, I am quite interested/concerned with this decision. Having never wanted to intentionally commit an actionable offense in game, i would like some clarification on this. If, however it is deemed that any use to ISBoxer is considered against the ToS, I can tell you (Blizzard) right now that I (and no doubt thousands of my fellow boxers) will be cancelling subs, demanding refunds, and discontinuing play moving forward.
After 15 years of official Blizzard support of multiboxing, to make this change without context so close to an expansion (for which we boxers have paid MULTIPLE times to cover each of our accounts) is quite concerning.
Not that this comment will likely be read by Blizzard, but, if it is, I would urge you to considering clarifying your position or revising your stance to allow those of us who have evolved to a different form of desirable gameplay to continue.
It is, of course, entirely within your power/authority to remove the ability to use such addonsā¦but, in that case, be prepared to issue what I can only imagine are a LOT of refunds.
ā¦Oh, and for the communityā¦if you think there arenāt a lot of multiboxing refunds impending then I must ask: why would something like this even be brought up as an issue to be addressed vs. fixing some of other SL issues that caused a delayed release?

Since botters use computers to bot, why dont they just make it so you cant use a computer to play WoW?

Oh I know there will be a lot of refunds if they allow them. They usually donāt provide refunds to people who get banned so thereās that too. Just be prepared to have to fight for your refunds.
I am with you on this. Seeing them update their stance to simply say it MAY result in a penalty is just not good enough. I seriously wonder if their intentions are to only wield this new policy against the ones they deem to be abusing the system.
But there is enough to ruin the game play of the entire worldā¦
The act of actively multiboxing is dead without the software. They can allow whatever they want. It doesnāt matter if you take away the means.
Also, if I move to following these new rules, I will still be reported by people for having toons on follow.
Good job blizz. Now prove it to us BY ENFORCING IT.

I agree, Iāve never been reported for boxing in 13 years because it looks totally different.
