Huh…not something I expected TBH.
This should make playing the economic game more fun again.
I wonder how they will handle people that use the software to facilitate their disabilities, I hope they have a registration process of some kind for them.
Perhaps they are simply going to wack-a-mole on the clients that are less enablers and more just simple mirroring clients.
They shouldn’t be able to refund. Smart individuals wouldn’t preorder and thus not reward a company for getting complacent with shoddy game design once they reach a certain preorder threshold.
Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
Not allowing refunds right before the expansion would be incredibly cruel, since they purchased the expansion for alt accounts with the knowledge it was supported.

Well say goodbye to half of wows player population. Oh and all your mats, and easily farmed gears are about to triple in price. NICE
[/quote]
I will make up for that by the fact that I will be able to SELL my gears for more money. That’s how economies work.
You’ll have to submit a ticket for a refund, no worries.
BlizZard is finally learning how to win.
I am impressed.
Ride the wave.
Wow I’m surprised they did this. If only they decided this earlier maybe i would have been able to farm some zin’anthid
Oh I don’t even multibox. xD
I just think those who did should be able to refund because of this policy update.
Honestly and admittedly, I am very happy about this change as the economy being dumped really hard due to these massive botters. It was nearly impossible to keep up with the market since WOD, even with a full raid team attempting to keep up with with it. This really should have been a thing since day 1, but finally seeing the change being put into motion, greatly pleases me. <3
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I am probably going to get back into high level core raiding again, since it will be a lot less pay to win now. Happy days to come! =D
oh no, now druid herb farmers need to click a few more times to get all their herbs.
I’d like to agree, but I can’t. I knew going in that I was using an unsupported, third-party app to coordinate multiple instances, and the ToS has always given Bliz freedom to shut off my permission to do that. My options here are to either eat turds or bark at the moon.
(I do want a Shadowlands refund, though)
On the other side of the coin, it’s not ISBoxer’s fault Blizzard forbade their tool, and they aren’t responsible to me either. I’m sure they’re doing what they can to clarify their arcs here and find a way forward for their customers too.
Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chances.
That’s kinda true. Not all MBxers do it for gold. I do it with 2 accs, I have the nalak mounts, but missing out all others. I dont know how many tries but did for a long time with 20+ chars before I stop playing prior to BFA. Was kinda of hyped for Shadowlands, but not anymore.
why isn’t this stickied?
I can’t help but laugh at all of the ‘WoW saved’ comments.
The naivete is strong.
They’ll have to now also monitor which programs have hooked the keyboard input handler and look for likely cuplrits. This is easily fooled by simply renaming your software executable to something bliz doesnt recognise and perhaps changing its memory signature somehow via a patch? not sure if that step is required.
My point is these measures only hurt the honest people, the crooks will keep getting away with things.
It just means that they can penalize you if they choose to, but they can also choose to let you off with a warning. I wouldn’t expect to get more than one warning, though.
As a relatively new multi-boxer of about seven months, I can understand why Blizzard has decided to finally take action and do something about it.
I enjoyed multi-boxing, it served its purpose for me. It was something I experimented with and admittingly, I have really enjoyed playing it that way.
I said to anyone that had something against multi-boxing that if Blizzard ever changed their policy or policies on using third party software for multi-boxing, that I’d stop using them immediately without whining about it.
I’ve completely removed ISBoxer and Innerspace from my PC permanently.
I respect their decision and do agree that it may help the overall health of the game and especially the economy.
Sixteen years of being okay and today that ends. Multiboxing never bothered me. The community of mutliboxers is generally a very cool group of folks. This just makes me feel sad that they had all this hype built up for a new xpac to be able to play and now this change of policy comes and tells them they can’t play the way they had been playing and enjoying for the last sixteen years.
I know what this will do to the in game economy. I know what it will do to token prices. Really disappointed by this.
The highest value pets currently go for about 300k gold. Also, SELLING a high-value pet is challenging at best. I have pets in the 20-50k range that I have up for months and months before one will randomly sell. It only gets harder at the higher gold ranges.
