Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

Hey, Blizzard will lose some gold, but the player morale will improve.

It was a cancer on a major part of the game that needed to be excised to save the whole. The treatment may hurt, but the patient has a better change to survive.

People can still sit with 50 accounts, one at each node, every window tiled, with an addon that detects when something spawns, they can click the window, then click the herb. This change doesn’t do what you think it does.

Take that!

Glad I got my longboi way before this and SL prepatch

What will the rules be exactly? I am normally running AHK for my non-WoW applications. Will I have to remember exit it when I play WoW? I suppose I could have it kill itself if WoW is detected.

What about the baked in software for razor mice for example? I hope their detection is done by correlating what actions are being performed across accounts rather then client side.

I’m a multiboxer who’s always played honestly, trying not to disrupt others by crowding them out, or pouncing on resource nodes they couldn’t see, and nearly all of what I harvested was for my own alts. Being able to tank and heal for my squishy main in WQs and dailies was also a tremendous boon for me, to try to level the playing field with tanks and damage-dealers with self-heals who could do things I couldn’t. Multiboxing was never cheating.

I never hurt anyone, and they’re banning me anyway because it’s easier to do that than it is to control the people who are actually being disruptive and hurting other people. That seems to be how Activision does business, throwing anvils at ants.

Sorry to everyone who never understood the difference between multiboxers and cheaters. Having gotten your way doesn’t make you right.

it is exactly how that works. and the outcome is the same regardless.

Yeah that’s fine

No one cares if you’re doing the input manually

I wonder if you will run afoul of the rules if you use a KVM switch?

LETS GOOOOOO GET EM OUTTA HERE BLIZZARD! Multiboxing is cheating. So happy.

Thank you for doing this blizzard. Multiboxing isn’t always a bad thing, but it’s being abused to an increasing degree and is negatively affecting the health of the game.

This is an oxymoron.

Which then the software automates into multiple accounts as one singular input. And again, Cope harder, cheater.

For what? The person never said that he / she used it to play WoW? You can use programs like that for other things as well

THANK YOU BLIZZARD.

multiboxing is the most cringe thing I have ever seen and it completely ruins the game in so many different ways. I can’t wait to see people still doing it so I can finally report them out of my game.

GREAT CHANGE.

“I had to click a button to turn the bot on, how is it automation?”

Trust me multiboxers are no great loss.

I would rather be banned than just let them have all that money which at this point would be essentially stolen

Blizzard has historically not differentiated between hardware and software solutions. If they say that key broadcasting to multiple accounts if banned, being clever, and trying to use hardware to obfuscate that, is like using a high end macro keyboard to automate your game.
