Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software

lol not even.

Just to clarify for you.

  1. We aren’t the toxic ones, we’re defending ourselves and our play style.

  2. Multi-boxing is still allowed.

  3. You can change IP and MAC addresses.

Well said. I don’t think as poored money and time, we had fun playing it. I don’t think is reasonable refund BFA, just shadowlands and aditional game time if the person gonna close those extra accounts, all other stuff we already use it, can’t be refunded, at least IMHO.
PS: Please stop posting, already read 2116 post, and yes I do have a lot of free time.

Times change and rules get made, its not the 1st time that they have either made a rule that broke something that people where using, or patch the game in a way that broke it from being able to be used. While stating the same reason as they stated for this. Trust me when I say it wont be the last time either.

As players we just simply adapt our play style around it and move on. Those who choose to risk it and try to skirt the rule and depending on how they do it may end up facing consequences of their actions.

Think that was meant to be a reply to someone else? Im finding it hard to connect the dots lol.

Blizzard, just ban it all together. It’s literally pay to win. Why is a game we pay $15 allowing P2W aspects?

I wrote a little app that reads the number of WoWs open and resizes and moves them to saved locations on the screen. It also adds a hotkey to swap between WoW windows. It doesn’t broadcast any input to those WoW windows. You have to either click in the window or hit the hotkey on the razer naga to swap between them. will this be legal to use under the new rules? Based on what’s described here it would seem so, but would be nice to have more clarity on what is allowed and what is not.

Blizz can’t say whether or not any software is acceptable or not but it sounds like you’re just talking about window tiling software.

I mean, it didn’t get dealt with/acknowledged until it would mean people could partially bypass the Covenant system.

Just saying.

I’ve no idea what you’re referring to here. My anger at this decision?

I haven’t had the game installed nor played it in months. What are you talking about?

The only thing to be angry about here is the weasel way they go about saying it’s fine then it’s not fine. A pure bait tactic to get us to pony up money. That’s game over for me.

And many others, too. The good thing now is these folks will be putting their cash into something more important than this piece of trash.

this is just the beginning of another bad decade

Thanks for this. It’ll be good for the hardware business.

So Scrap bots, autosellers, auto repair, Bag rearrangers, TradeSkillMaster, quest turn in addons, dbm, details, ERT, etc, and etc are all held in the same light?

I, and the multibox platform companies, could easily change their commands to 1 click 1 action by making the only possible option on commands be round robin. For example, I used round robin to interrupt and stun things.
I don’t mind anymore right now anyways. It was fun 5x eye-beaming things into the ground, but the main reason I did it was to farm rares and mounts for collectables. I got my accounts back up and running in simple windowed mode using a leader and four potatoes on follow that do nothing but take part in the xp and looterang things one after the other.
I do miss the simple conveniences such as mounting together and making them jump to keep them from getting stuck on rocks and debris. Not that big a deal though.

I am happy you found a way to continue your fun and hope others do as well. despite my stance in supporting the choice blizzard made here. I don’t revel in the fact that it wounds other players idea of fun. To me, fun is the most important part of a game. For that to be lost to my fellow players is a disappointment.

I just recently started multi-boxing using these types of software. I’ve had 2 accounts for years now one for the Ah the other to play the game.
This TOS update will not stop botting or negative forms of multi-boxing.
This type of software only made it easier to do and was very enjoyable for me just duel-boxing. I only used duel-boxing (with-software) to quest and run old dungeons, this was some of the most fun I’ve had in WoW.
This TOS update is extremely disappointing.
Please clarify what software is ok if you still want to support Multi-boxing.
Thanks.

What are these things I’m doing to wound other players? Keep in mind I’m not a gold, resource, or hyperspawn farmer.

edit: I do buy and sell the AH with TSM, but that’s not multi-boxing. It is however botting in your eyes.

Excuse me, let me make it more clear. I don’t revel in the fact that Blizzards choice wounds other players idea of fun. That is to say, I am trying to show you a level of human decency by acknowledging that it’s hindering your own idea of fun. I had thought what I typed in the entirety of the post mirrored that. I apologize for not being more clear.

I think it is just rediculous because since wow was released there have been botters, and multiboxers, and twinks. Why didn’t they just destroy all of these things in like 2006, long before it got popular, or in multiboxing case, before it became mainstream and useful. The players who multibox are going to fight this, as multiboxing is useful to them. I mean, imagine cars, they are around for 40 years or so, then its like, nope cars cause cancer, and they just ban all cars. No one is going to argue for the side banning cars lol even if they do cause cancer because of how useful they are.

I get that, but I still would like to know what I’m doing to wound people.

I never actually claimed you did. So I’m not sure how that is relevant. I was saying Blizzard is wounding people. I don’t want to make a claim that any one person is doing things to destroy other peoples fun because it would be a baseless accusation without knowing what they do in the game. Which unless shared I cannot tell on the forums.
