Pointed ears

I’ve seen posts say they are Npc only, others suggest they are reserved for a future Arathi allied race and others saying they should be barbershop items with the official TWW launch for humans. Does anyone have an official link with the true answer ?

Hoping for these ears in 11.0.5 but don’t expect them on August 26th… Blizzard would have trumpeted it as a new feature in the expansion that is sparse on new features.

I want round ears for my velf
I already play him as a half elf so that would be super cool.

I think it’s because the dressing room on wowhead shows them as NPC only options. I doubt there’s going to be a future Arathi allied race because the pointy ears are on both humans, kul tirans and the round ears and on void elves and blood elves.

The pointy ears on kul tirans would almost certainly not be a player option. It wouldn’t make any sense lorewise. The kul tirans we play as don’t have any elven heritage like the arathi do. They do have some npcs who use the kul tiran models with pointy ears, seemingly just for variety. But they are scaled down to normal human height. Because of course, our kul tirans are giants thanks to their drust heritage.

There are Kul Tirans with pointy ears in TWW.

I literally just said that in my post. They aren’t kul tirans. They just use the model.

To be fair, if humans get the pointy ear customizations, elves will probably get the round ear ones, which might lead to less elven influence!

I’m talking about the race. The race is called Kul Tiran. That’s how Blizzard decided to call them despite them being just big humans.

Not an allied race but as customization for Humans and Kul Tirans if it must happen.

I know that Elves with pointy ears get caught on all the lamps in Ironforge, and I hate it.
