“Revisionist history”. There’s multiple places you can see a number of them discussing how bad the 20% change was. Here’s a link to like 2 minutes of a conversation Yummy, Tettles, and Squishei were having on the subject.
Back to back nerfed the dungeons by 7% while in PTR and having testers complaining about the scaling being rough, and then followed it with an untested 20% buff at 12’s going “We’ll deal with it if we think it’s a problem later. We’re only balancing for the 2-11’s for now.”
Them sitting this entire segment joking about how much the affix isn’t necessary and how tanks are getting white swing melee’d to death in these keys as soon as it kicks in.

Mass dispel is able to dispel everything , not cleaning poison totem so mass dispel is really more powerful , they should have made the cd the poison cleansing totem to 90 sec

Aren’t Xal’atath’s affixes still present at 12+ alongside Guile? I thought the difference was that you just no longer get buffs for handling the affixes, but they’re still present alongside the flat buffs to the enemies.

However poison cleansing dispels poison…6 times. Instantly. Every 1.5 seconds. Its like having 6 aoe cleanse casts.

it’s not instantly , it’s tick every 1.5 sec so about 5 sec to remove all the poison is everyone have a poison on them
You misread it. It actually takes them all away at once. Every 1.5 seconds. The first pulse being when its put down.

All poison effects from A (single) nearby player every 1.5 seconds for 6 seconds.
Its just a incorrect tooltip. From experience, they all go away before they can tick.

Your experience is incorrect then. You can literally test it by dropping the totem on the last boss of Ara-kara and watching the dispells stagger the poison lines.

Actually it is one every 1.5 seconds. It’s not an instantaneous mass cleanse.
Every single time I used it on devouring week it removed the affix one at a time.
Every time I use it on the last boss of Ara Kara, it removes them one at a time (which is super noticeable because you get one set of waves per player every 1.5 seconds vs every player dropping waves at the same time).
So you are incorrect.
It’s not everything, it’s just magic on enemies and allies (with a target limit) in one pulse with a cast time (used to be able to get it to 0.5 second cast in the past but now I don’t think you can).
The radius is also a limitation compared to poison cleansing totem or revival.
The current version only removes poison from one person every pulse I believe so it’s basically just a delayed poison mass dispel that takes more time.
