Plzzzz. Begging you, bring account-wide mounts for Cataclysm

This dru is my main. Tons of reps. Tons of mounts.
But my alt has Amani war bear and blue protodrake.

And in Cataclysm Im thinking of changing main, just cuz resto drus kinda suck in Cata.
And now I’m spending hours farming stuff. Would just suck to lose it all.

Pretty please.
One of those things that simply causes no harm whatsoever. Just a horse. If you earned it, you earned it.

I wish they would add this right now.

ikr.
I did over 250 Anzu runs just not to be able to use it on any other toon?

There are people who got it from lootboxes for no effort.

To be honest I wish they would just bring the entire collection journal from retail wholesale. Was asked to swap from my priest main to my warlock for this expansion. I’m a team player so of course I agreed… but man would it be nice to not have my things split. Pets, Mounts, Achievements, etc.

Yeah. A lot of people are going full completionists in Classic.
I am. I’m trying to get as much stuff as I can. Nearly 7,000k achieve points. But I’m missing like every single Vanilla dungeon/raid and a few other big ticket achieves that Im working on now. Daily.

Yep, and I am one of them for sure. Still, have to go back into Naxx and Uld to get a few things come ToGC since my guild hates doing achievements for whatever reason.

Why they didn’t bring shared everything with wotlk is a bigger crime than not adding rdf tbh.

Would be cool to add this now, or add tbc era and make the mount mailable between tbc and wrath accounts.

Hmm…

Personally, I’m of the opinion that account-wide anything detracts from the game. I like the idea that a mount is only bound to a single character as it gives that character some uniqueness.

You know, if you have say 2 WoW Accounts in Retail on different BattleNet accounts, and want to merge one into the other you do not get any of the account-bound achievements or items. This is rather significant, imo.

Just recently hit 100 mounts on my warlock main not too long ago. Had this guy all the way back when I first started playing Classic. Headless Horseman, 60% Brewfest Ram mount only available in TBC, Black War Bear, Sea Turtle, Amani War Bear, and the two hyper-expensive mounts. The character currently sits 588/1068 achievements, about 55%, earned. Without account-wide mounts/achievements, I simply cannot bring it upon myself to make an alt and actually invest time in it

Eh, investing time in it is not the issue. I guess it is the having to invent more time on it than your would-be main. Like if your guild needs you to fulfill a different role, but I suppose there are always those situations where you get a hyper rare mount on your alt and the like.

Maybe I’d be so both happy and pissed if I got the time lost on an alt.

Got blue proto drake from UP H+ today.

Got blue proto drake from UP H+ today on alt

They still “earned” the damn things. But it would be against the current devs entire plan to have even the slightest ounce of respect for players time.

Wish they would add it now.

Yep! And Retail does an excellent job of making everything account wide for people who find that sort of thing important or necessary.

For me personally, I find it greatly detracts from any uniqueness of any characters to the point that I can just delete all my toons and start fresh with any given expansion. The group finding tools also make it so that even if I don’t care to form relationships and be a generally decent person who interacts with others, it doesn’t matter, I can just automate group finding as well, for most content, including high enough M+ to get KSM.

Part of what I personally have liked the most about WoW Classic is the uniqueness of the characters that I play, and their roles within their own communities.

And sure I’ve “earned” some mounts on my Druid that I haven’t on my DK, and I’ve had to do achievements for 310% flying on each of them, but imo having those things be account wide detracts greatly from the experience of obtaining such things across multiple characters.

And that is something that I personally prefer (so far at least) about the Classic series.

So then give the ability to just turn it (and anything else you don’t like …like that) off. Doesn’t hurt your experience what so ever, and others who may be more constrained, can benefit from it. Seems Win-win to me.

This question is redundant because there isn’t going to be a cataclysm. There is not a demand for it, outside a few retail players who are paying for dragonflight anyway.

Why not? This is a good “QoL” update for actual dedicated players. The playerbase who actually plays this game. I’m a few mounts away from 100. I got tons of unique mounts scattered across multiple toons.

If you have only 20, or 30, I’ve actually dedicated a lot more time and effort into this game. Because you’re a lot more likely to quit than I am. Logically, pleasing dedicated customer based is a better long term investment for Blizzard.

We already have brand new stuff in Wrath.
Cross realm arena teams.
Same faction BGS.
AH changes Throttle changes to scans.
And those are custom added content.

Classic Andys are not going to play according to them. I call it a load of horse :poop: , but nonetheless, yall think Cata = Retail, altho cata is closer to Wrath than Wrath to Vanilla.

Cataclysm is your Vanilla+ basically. Oh yeah. It really is.

If I earn mimoron head, I have full bragging rights on all my characters. Especially since lots of people swap main.

For those who feel like they didn’t earn it for their alts, could always not use it.

We can look at Anzu I earned.
I have over 250 Anzu clears + over 500 Wrath dungeons completed. And I just got it last week. Oh I have definitely earned it.

I play for me. Right. I don’t really care if someone is using Ashes of Alar on their freshly boosted. I know they got it one way or the other.

A lot of us play for ourselves. Not for Timmy or Tommy from Nebraska.
