Plunderstorm, not for me

I avoided Pluderstorm the first time because I knew it was PvP, but I figured I’d give it an attempt the second time around.

And yup, I’ve confirmed why I avoided it. It’s, at least for me, a total crap game mode.

I despise PvP, always have, always will. This is not fun at all for me. I get like maybe 30 ‘plunder’ or whatever per game.

I only decided to attempt this because I’m a mount and pet hoarder.

8000 or whatever plunder needed to get the pets and mount, as much as I like to collect stuff…this is so not worth it.

Grats to all of you that like that kind of thing, but, off, no, this is poop content for me. This is not WoW.

I very much dislike it but the grind this time isn’t NEAR as bad as it was first time around.

umm i got all i wanted in 3 matches plus 2 more for the mount lol

i didnt really encounter players where i land until way later. maybe stop choosing the red zones

also the quest which takes a second to do gives 250 and daily 800 bonus

a cool safe spot to camp every match at the start is the green zone to the south west its stonehenge with a mob in the middle

its mostly a hit every time i do it and if u do it once a day if u really dont want to do it completing the quest will give 250+800 daily and 250 unlimited

so 1050 one time and then 250 for the rest of the day

Definitely don’t drop in popular areas.

Even in the first plunderstorm, I would net around 1500-2k a round. But I would drop on an elite in a random place most people wouldn’t drop. Then farm npcs.

But the key is to land on an elite for easy powers.

It is garbage, but there is a shovel I kinda like the look of. Maybe I’ll grab a bottle of buffalo trace tomorrow and try to suffer through it for that one mog.

… nah. There are other shovels.

What is the map selection? You select a point, and what is it exactly? Game doesn’t tell you anything as to what that means?

I don’t even know what is and what isn’t populated.

That just takes some testing. I found smaller shacks AWAY from the forts, towns and stuff were the places to drop. Then you could openly farm usually in the fields, over even kill lower players that wandered too close lol.

Best places to avoid people are the troll area south east and the port area directly south

If you go for farms, castle or circles it’s gonna be ugly and fast

You can probably get everything u need by playing 2 games a day doing bonus objectives

I look at the sky around me when I spawn in and see where many birds are dropping then avoid those areas lol.

I didn’t even know you could move the bird the first few times I played this thing. That’s how bad I am.

I was (still am) pretty awful at it. The first like 10 games I played last time it was here went horrible and I was so annoyed with it I just about quit.

You’ll start to get the hang of it. Sticking close to the storm and killing mobs/elites works well. Sometimes you can dip into the storm and get other player’s loot (very rare). Last game I played I watched two people fight then just one shot the winner and took all the plunder. That’s also rare and I’ve been on the receiving end of that more times than not.

I hate pvp and never am able to kill anyone when I’m attacked, but I found that if I selected a green zone to start and killed mobs in the fields, I was able to get 700-1000 plunder per game before I was killed.

Yep. I have 4k more plunder to go then I have everything. Just need 2 hat items. I got every other thing. I had all the 1st time stuff so I was just buying the 2nd time new stuff then I aint touching it again for the rest of the event

It’s where you spawn when the round starts. You can pick roughly where you want to start the game from…

Just because you don’t like something that doesn’t mean it’s crap

getting 80 in a game means you’re either dying instantly or not collecting plunder
pick a green spot on the map to drop do the quest for 250 and kill mobs then die
