Agreed. This just isnā€™t necessary for the game at this point. Spell batching is one thing, but trying to ensure the ten people left with terrible internet arenā€™t getting denied melee range isā€¦ bad for everyone else.

I get why people are so up in arms about this mechanic, but I have to wonder if you werenā€™t getting a native server to you, would you still be advocating the removal of a lag compensation mechanic?

Being in Australia, Iā€™m worried there isnā€™t going to be an OCE server, meaning at minimum (physical latency) I will be playing on 200ms, being a melee thats absolutely dumb in a PvP encounter.

Also from someone who played in Australia from vanilla until the addition of our own servers, I feel like this mechanic was always present.

Can a hunter do arcane shot on a tuaren chasing him while being meleed? How does this work for the actual range? Does this change the ā€œdeadzoneā€ or does it litterally just give you extra range while running?

Please remove that i dont think this is suppose to be that far maybe 5yard as a good leeway mechanic but that is a flat frostbolt range

mannnn if they made races have different melee ranges due to size, and tauren got like a 20 yard swipe for a melee attack

The past few weeks, everytime a video goes up on YouTube by a handful of people there are posts about it within minutes. Itā€™s usually something players were completely unaware of, such as this. So, Iā€™m curious how many people replying in the thread didnā€™t know about the issue until the video you linked or ā€œAsmongold Reacts.ā€

No. If theyā€™re hitting you in melee, you can hit them in melee is what I understand about it. Their zone is just extended outward.

From the top,maybe I read wrong, but the hit box issue was fixed in BC because of arenas, was it not?

And Iā€™m almost positive you got leeway while moving. Even Maged AE had an extended range if used while running no?

Nope, leeway was not in vanilla. Blizzard already partially fixed it so Iā€™m sure it will get fully addressed.

In one of my previous posts above I linked vanilla and bc era videos timestamped at where the leeway mechanic should be active and itā€™s not.

So yes, Iā€™m sure.

i challenge you to find me one example of leeway in any wow video from bc or earlier.
