Pls Kill off Baine. We dont need alliance in the horde

So we’re just ignoring the fact that Sylvanas didn’t change her orders from “occupy it” to “BURN IT” until after some dying Night Elf said some things about “you can’t kill hope”.

I swear, I’m gonna get a brain tumor from these anti-Saurfang/pro-Sylvanas propaganda posts.

Considering how in the latest livestream they basically said the books don’t matter, there is a chance (albeit very small) that they could just retcon Cairne’s death as just him faking it for giggles and he’s actually a crazy old man that was only such a good leader because of a somewhat dangerous Peacebloom addiction.
Hell, they could just retcon him and Garrosh 1v1’ing outside the gates of Orgrimmar entirely.

Do you think Cairne would have done it differently? Allow a group of Tauren to go against his command?

Remember, Baine didn’t believe in the conflict that Garrosh pursued against the Alliance. Because it made no sense. Why have further Tauren blood spilled for a war that did nothing for the Tauren? The same thing Cairne believed about Garrosh and his thirst for war.

Half reason Cairne is dead is because he challenged Garrosh to a duel to the death to avenge the Druids he thought Garrosh killed.

So yes, I think Cairne would have done things differently.

Agreed Baine is only good as a medium rare steak. Seasoned with a bit of pepper and Alliance salt. Other then that he is dead weight. I hope he deflects to the Alliance for good.

Cairne challenged Garrosh to prevent a war.

Baine exiled rebellious Tauren to prevent the further spread of that war. And the useless spilling of further Tauren blood for no reason other than Garrosh’s Orc glory. The villain then was Garrosh, not Baine.

Not all causes are won by direct confrontation. Baine was there with Vol’jin when it was the right time to move and confront Garrosh. Sylvanas is the villain now. Who’s going to be there to confront her? The Blood Elves?

No. Don’t rewrite WoW’s history to try to prove me wrong.

Cairne challenged Garrosh to a Mak’gora because he thought Garrosh killed Druids.

They weren’t trying to help Garrosh do anything… they were trying to avenge the braves that died at Camp Taurajo.

UGH AGAIN WHY AM I HAVING THIS CONVERSATION WITH ALLIANCE. At least get on your Horde alt so it’s not so obvious.

So instead of killing off the character, how about blaming the poor writing and asinine direction that the story is going. Baine can be saved if Blizzard would put just a little effort into it.

The problem is Blizzs consistency with how they write Baine. Hes just there or is a support coward.

They never shouldve killed Cairne to prop up some generic orc and then admit just now “oopsie daisy we dun goofed wit Garrosh”.

Then Southshore was a military target and if you want vengeance for the fallen you’re a warmonger

Because we can’t selectively use that excuse. All I have heard is how Sylvanas is evil and deserves to die, and can’t/shouldn’t be saved.

If anyone brings up “but its the bad writing’s fault!” they are just shut down and ignored.

But hey. Another Alliance member fully supporting a Horde leader that would clearly be an Anduin puppet :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, kill him. Looks like the Horde are having steak tonight kids :cut_of_meat:

In the Shattering, Garrosh, Thrall and Cairne meet to discuss the lack of supplies since the Wrathgate incident because the Night Elves are refusing to trade with the Horde. Thrall states they should try and foster better relations with the Night Elves to resume trade. Garrosh says they should just attack the Night Elves and take what they need despite the Alliance-Horde truce.

Later, it’s discovered that at the meeting place for the negotiations, the druids under Hamuul and the Night Elves are attacked and word gets back to Cairne (and this is already after a Night Elf convoy in Ashenvale has been attacked prior to the negotiations). It’s believed that Garrosh ordered both attacks. That’s why Cairne confronts Garrosh. Because as he told Thrall, Garrosh is too much like his father and thrived on conflict. Removing Garrosh would prevent further bloodshed.

Again, none of which would have happened at all except for Garrosh. Avenging the attack on Camp Taurajo would have meant more senseless deaths for Garrosh’s war.

I throw up in my mouth a little every time I see these faction cheerleader posts because this is exactly what the devs want. They created this fake, poorly written and executed faction conflict and the more players eat it up the more they’ll spoon feed us this junk food.

Yes. The Alliance faction cheerleaders only wanting Horde leaders that support the Alliance does make me puke as well! It would be a very poorly written storyline.

Maybe they should start… since seemingly everyone they capture just ends up breaking out anyway.

To the topic at hand though: Baine sucks, blight his cow butt.

I will be gladly to kill him and cut his head

Here you go again. How is Baine supporting the Alliance? He’s supporting the Horde because he sees Sylvanas’ misguided War is going to lead to ruin. Baine and Saurfang are following Thrall’s lead.

I main Horde and I despise the current story line. I’m sick of the Horde always being the bad guy and I’m sick of Horde leaders being used to forward this crappy narrative with forced faction conflict. The current devs have been spitting on Metzen’s concepts for the Horde since WoD.

Anduin needs that too.

Yes. He supports the Horde by following Sylvanas’s order and muttering “for the Horde” when she isn’t looking. Such a strong and non cowardly showing. All the while being a penpal and sending part of his horn to Anduin.
