As title, please make the BoA WG Commendations also purchasable with Honor, even if it’s at a loss (something like 3k honor to get a 2k token for example). There’s basically nothing to spend it on if you have all the gear you need (if you even care about that) aside from maybe blue gems and with how much you get from just doing WG let alone anything else it’s a waste to let it rot.
Let it go to gearing alts or even getting levelling gear if people want instead, it either makes alts less of a deadweight in their initial BGs making games more enjoyable both them or the rest of their team, can make leveling more enjoyable/appealing, or for a very small minority I guess it’d help twinking toons.
I’m aware that epic gems are supposed to be coming soonish and that’ll be nice for those who’d rather use it to make gold/gear their main but what’s the harm in letting some people use it on alts instead?
People get the lion’s share of their Honor Points from WG anyway, so surely it makes sense to use the “other” WG currency on BoA honor tokens too?
That has nothing to do with what OP is asking for, a BoA honor token isn’t related to PVE or raid logging at all.
I fully support this. It turns people away from PVP and gearing alts (even some of those who enjoy PVP) when you have to go in late season and get crushed because you have no gear. It sucks for the person gearing and it sucks for the other people on their team that have to carry them.
I would be happy to que up BGs on my main to send enough honor to make new alts somewhat able to contribute before going in on them. Maybe it would even bring more people into PVP and help improve on how tragically low participation is.
Tbh, my personal reason for wanting this is just to get “stylish” leveling gear to krump mostly PVE with from 60-80, and I’m a big sucker for nerd points so I don’t really raidlog either, but I guess it could lead some players to raidlog. I doubt it personally, but it’s a decent point.
That said, everything else still stands. Entering BGs with heirlooms and leveling trash going up against people in Deadly/Furious kit sucks for you AND your team. It’s barely better than the DK bots in usefulness lol. And once your main has that season’s belt/boots/bracers/etc, Honor Points may as well get chucked in the bin.
Also like Apex said, it’d likely up engagement with BGs/Arena on both mains and alts, and possibly leveling toons too for extra dungeons/group quests rather than living in HoS/HoL for days. And beyond that it’s just a crappy feeling leaving currency to either go to waste or be spent on devalued gems because you want to play the game.
Don’t mind it. It’s very low impact. The stuff you can buy with no arena rating are very cheap anyways. Like full hateful set right now is less than half an honor cap; even if you did 2:1 conversion you could start a character out with a full set. But then again 2 WG’s and a set of quests will get you there as well.
