Please treat BFD as an upper blackrock spire. Remove the lock out

The gear drop rate is a bit too low in BFD. If you ran it since day 1 you should be mostly geared but i know people that have and dont even have a single set piece yet.

I have one friend that already stopped playing after a week or 2 of not getting any real loot. The 2nd to last boss prob should go to 3 drops instead of 2 like the last boss. Maybe rebalance set drops depending on if you are a horde or alliance raid. (Mail sets for alliance, Leather int sets for horde) etc.

People can’t tell when they’re being farmed.

It’s not about you farming a raid every 3 days, it’s about Blizzard farming your credit card every 30 days.

How do you struggle to get a good weapon when verigans fist is a quest reward?

500g bet that on the first day they did this, half the forums would be in an uproar demanding it be reverted.

“I have 3 jobs and 42.7 kids, I’m so far behind and it’s not fair to me. I can’t even do quests anymore since I’m so far behind. WoW hates casuals and this just helps the 1% like always”

I guarantee it

RDF posts are just trolling…

this is RDF? I don’t know all his alts

Any character that is lvl 10, talks about trigger warning topics and always has a bad take…

you use … to much

I do? Hmm….

No, thank you.

I like this idea because when folks make alts for SoD they can do groups for some fun items for leveling etc.

Hope they do this.

I vote remove the lockout.

Agreed. Lockouts are lame, especially for mini raids.

It’s ok but the fathomblade is slower and therefore does a decent bit more damage with the new skills Pally has on top of the weapons proc, not that the proc is great damage. CS, DS and my seal are all based on weapon damage % so those slower weapons are better. I don’t do bad with my hammer but it could be much better.

The Hydra is just a massive upgrade for Pally, should make a huge difference with how hard that thing hits compared to the hammer.

I’ve ran BFD every lockout besides the first one, I’ve rarely seen any cloth drop, I mean no gloves, legs, tier cloth, not even staves. It’s literally all Mail and Leather gear…

Ohh I’ve gotten the phoenix wand… yay… my commitment and persistence really has paid off :expressionless:. I still can’t even win the roll for the darn trinket.

Literally if it wasn’t for that wand it wouldn’t even look like I’ve completed BFD…

The reason UBRS didn’t have a lockout was because back in the day, Drakkisath dropped one blood for the Onyxia attunement per kill. It would take 40 lockouts just for a group to do Onyxia. This was later updated to him dropping a whopping 3 before he just dropped it for everyone later on.

that’s not soley the reason. URBS is the same instance as LBRS, if the gave UBRS a lockout, then it would lock LBRS as well.

The reason is largely irrelevant though, 10 man content in vanilla didn’t have a lockout, and neither should BFD.

The lockout directly makes the gear more valuable, but I agree the lockout should be removed, but not yet, 1 week before P2, and then leave it off. Even some exp gained from BFD would be a cool idea to level.

It’s crazy to me how many retail players have jumped into classic and are now vying for changes akin to retail in the classic environment.

The lockouts artificially create scarcity in loot, which makes the loot more valuable. They add to this by putting 2 -3 mail wearers, 3-5 leather wearers and 2-4 cloth wearers in each raid. It makes thing’s difficult to acquire and thus more valuable/meaningful.

Removing the lockout would mean we’d have no actual endgame raid in this content phase. Parsing would be a joke (nobody would care). The problem is misguided, people think they want to remove the lockout when, in reality, they want an enjoyable loot grind at cap. Grinding SFK/WC/DM for pieces that compete with quest and AH greens is not fun or rewarding. Grinding a harder version of those dungeons scaled to level 25 with new and improved loot to prep you for the raid would be very fun.

What they need to do is release a teaser for p2 NOW, and make sure that the playerbase is aware that there will be a loot fiesta dungeon grind at cap, and not another “those blues you ground from DM at lv19 are your prebis.”

The level banding is a phenomenal approach, but it needs a more robust dose of content for it to compete with an actual endgame WoW vanilla raiding phase. It currently feels extroardinarily watered down and like I need to wait for a lockout twice a week on a regular dungeon to get any upgrades over questing loot.

The content isn’t wide enough and it’s not challenging enough. We literally have DPS players fight for threat and whoever deals the most damage gets to tank. This is silly.

It still had the 5 man quests in LBRS from when it was actually hard since it was originally a 10 man.

I remember that being why many of the quests had valuable rewards. Had to do a raid as a 5 man.

Also lol at thinking it makes it more valuable. Loot scarcity is a graph, the line where it crosses into demotivating from valuable is a very thin line.

Getting nothing for a month in a 10 man because none of it drops(versus losing a roll) is very far across that line.

But I know no changers are allergic to context and everything is a slippery slope. I do love being told to go back to retail when outside of 2 months of shadowlands, I hadn’t played since TBC.
