Please revert feral hotfix/use 2.0 energy [FIXED, ty Blizz!]

Blizzard, we have already gone several hours with this system. Please respond

I’m an ultra biased drood.

Either buff base cat form so we dont have to shift and can just RP instead as full on cat, or hear us and fix energy so we can enjoy top tier engaging druid gameplay and show off our decision making and potential as players.

but taking a no stance and just slamming the bat into all of our furry legs isn’t cool.

clearly youre OK with somechanges… (ahem cash shop), therefore you are ok with not breaking a class. see. ez pz.

Hello my friends and fellow druids of the cat persuasion. I wanted to add another voice requesting the return of the standard 2 second energy tick timer, independent of form, as it is the foundation of the cat play-style that many of us love. I would ask my fellow druids to stand with me as we humbly ask to right this great injustice. I’ll finish with a quote from the wise druid Alamo,

“DURIDS IS MUST ALWAYZ HALP EECH OTHER:
sumtimes a new durid is need sum halp and advise frum a good durid so u shuld alway halp unother” - Alamo 11/22/2005

Please revert the energy tick changes so it doesn’t reset on shifting, it feels awful.

Reverting the change will make a lot of people happy and not have any appreciable change on other players or the game. why not show ferals a little love

who does this nerf help?

Just another druid chiming in- the current state of energy feels absolutely terrible. Given the state of changes in classic TBC (#some changes), giving druids their tick back would go a long way to making feel fun. It’s not about damage, it’s about the flow.

Keep this post alive they NEED to address this properly.

Hey Blizzard, even paladins think keeping ferals this way is an outrage, You gave us seal twisting, you need to give ferals the better version of pwershifting, its only fair. #somechanges #makeferalsfunagain

thank you.

Hello.

I did not read every post because I don’t have 4 hours of free time lol. I’m thinking if they don’t want to revert the tick change back to Classic Vanilla style, wouldn’t reducing the energy cost of Shred from 42 (with talents) down to 40 be okay? You would get 60 energy from Furor and Wolfshead helm, then you would just have to wait for that extra tick like we normally did to get to 80 equaling two casts of Shred.

If I’m wrong (and I very well may be) let me know fellow Ferals.

Blizzard, please help us all out!

bump because important

You’re not wrong- this would absolutely solve the problem.

I don’t think that is an option from Blizz’ perspective - they aren’t really going to make sweeping changes like that.

They just need to revert the hot fix. This isn’t a sweeping change like reducing shred cost, but rather reverting a likely unintentional nerf made during TBC (when almost no one powershifted and thus there wasn’t much knowledge about it). This is bringing energy back to how it behaved for most of actual TBC through 2.2, to how it behaved for almost all of beta, and to how it behaved for all of Classic. It is still TBC (and Classic) faithful, just an earlier patch - without penalizing a spec for the entire game.

It’s not introducing new mechanics, it’s simply reverting a change that was likely meant to only affect innervate and evocation.

Oh I agree. They probably don’t want to deal with this. I’m just saying if they want to keep the tick changes how they are for innervate and evocate then maybe they could look into that. All they would really have to do is increase the amount of energy reduction the talent “Shredding Attacks” gives by 1. Make each talent reduce the energy cost of Shred by 19 instead of 18 and that would give us the 2 energy we need to cast Shred twice without waiting another two ticks of energy.

That would be the easiest fix in my eyes, they wouldn’t have to revert anything they already changed, simply change Shredding Attacks to 19 instead of 18.

Guys hear me, we are the few, but our ranks are bolstered by our love of what we call our class, our spec. We cannot give in to their lack of cummunication and unjustified actions, we must stand up and band together as we, horde and aliance alike we are bound to the moonglade and that means we are all brothers and sistere… Band together lets give these forums hell, lets show them how even though we are few, we are strong…

Ah, gotcha - I am on the same page, then. Whatever they do, I just want a fix so this class doesn’t feel so slow and awful :frowning:

We need to keep posting in this thread. Feral can’t be like this in two weeks when the portal opens.
