Please reconsider your stance on retail/classic reward linking

This is so true. I have been an advocate since they announced the removal of Naxx40 for some sort of reliable method for obtaining T3…I’m glad there’s at least SOME method with the BMA, but it’s ridiculously expensive, and availability is spotty at best, heavily dependent on your server’s population.

It would be far more time consuming/expensive to obtain T3 in Classic than it is to buy it off the BMAH on BfA.

Just because I can’t earn everything in life, doesn’t mean I don’t have interest in earning rewards from Vanilla I didn’t have time to do. The ‘problem’ is I pay for a game and I’m making my voice known of what I want, because that’s all I have. Judging by this thread approaching 900 posts, I’m not the only one disappointed by this decision.

The problem isn’t that you want to voice an opinion but rather that, at this point, you’re basically sticking your fingers in your ears so that you don’t have to hear all the people, Blizzard themselves included, that what you want is NOT happening in Classic.

There comes a point where continuing to ask for linked rewards adds no discussion value and at best is borderline trolling regardless of why it’s being posted. You’re not bringing up any new arguments that haven’t been argued to death in the last ~900 posts.

Making characters on multiple servers and selling tokens to purchase T3 would still be less time consuming than earning it on Classic and cheaper than it would be to level up and buy your way into Naxxramas. As far as consistency is concerned, you can easily have a full set of T3 on BfA in under a month, right now if you really want it.

You keep saying this with no proof. Nobody wants any carry overs, and the CE is tied to the same account required to play Classic. But keep regurgitating your crap theory.

I would try to seperate in your mind retail and classic. Something you buy on retail shouldn’t give you something in Classic, or vice versa. The philosophy is pretty rock solid that they are separate gameplay wise. If you obtained the original CE pets you used those/can still use those in the live game you obtained it for.

It is an interesting thought though, that to some that did have it, that was a part of their classic experience. It’s likely we won’t implement something that ties into the existing things you own on the live game, but maybe reoffer them since Classic is it’s own thing. Before the fury of that statement sinks in, I’m not saying that will happen at all (there literally hasn’t even been a discussion of it), just sharing my thoughts on a solution to that problem that I could see.

This also could be an exception where we somehow grant them for original CE owners. No idea. Interesting thing to think about though. I’ll mention it though that you guys are asking about the original CE pets for original CE owners.

There has already been at least one person who has “requested” to be able to “import” legendary weapons that they obtained in retail into Classic so they can use those legendary weapons in Classic.

It is a childish act when you’re ignoring the countless times that Blizzard has said no and not adding anything new to the discussion.

I also didn’t say you shouldn’t voice your opinion. In fact I even noted that you voicing it isn’t what the problem here is: It’s that you’re refusing to accept reality, and are attempting to use things like “I pay for a game” and “nothing Blizzard says is set in stone” to justify the fact that you’re not accepting reality.

Blizzard MIGHT change their mind if the bulk of the community was behind you, but this thread very clearly shows that they are not. At best there are a few people repeating the same tired arguments that have been argued to death already.

It should also be noted for your “Blizzard will do what the paying people want”, that the people Blizzard is trying to appeal to with Classic are the people not currently subscribed to the game.

You’d have better luck trying to change BfA rather than Classic, since BfA is the product you’re currently paying for.

Vanilla legendary weapons are exactly what that person is referencing.

The Hand of Ragnaros, Thunderfury and Atiesh the Greatstaff are all legendary weapons that were available in vanilla and which at least one person wants to “import” from retail to Classic so that they can be OP from the minute they hit level cap.

After reading slightly through this thread, he never said he doesn’t want CE pets, he said that people shouldn’t get CE pets just because they bought the original CE for wow. He even said there should be CE pets exclusively for a CE classic.
