Wrath is the final game state before everything changed. Preserving that should be top priority.

Your title is a lie. There has been no decision to not have Wrath servers. The latest statement is that there are no plans for them but that does not mean it is a hard no. “Never say never” was their actual words.

No plans to keep wrath = no plans to keep wrath. This means there won’t be a wrath once the cataclysm patch is put in. Trying to act like they said otherwise is like a dog chasing its own tail. Calling the thread title “a lie” doesn’t help.
Like I said, dog chasing its own tail, and now trying to accuse me of doing what you’re doing.
Look how many years it took for them to change that plan then finally do it. Wrath doesn’t have all that time. Cataclysm is coming, and once it’s patched on here, that ship has sailed.

I stand by my statement. There is NO DECISION to not have Wrath servers. “This means” - You are speaking absolute rubbish. This means that have not said one way or another. You are trying to change meanings based on your personal narrative But you can read my lips: They have not said EITHER WAY.

While I am fully in favor of wotlk classic servers remaining, I am also adamantly against sock puppet spam.
Stick to one of the existing threads instead of rotating alts to make the same damned thread over and over.

Necroing every Wrath thread is going to have the opposite effect that you want. Just saying, since you are the most recent post in all of these weeks old threads.
Bring on Cata with no wrath era servers. It is for the best.
Just curious, why is that for the best? How does a wrath era server affect you playing cataclysm?

Because, they would have a bare population on cata servers if wrath stays up. They have to rely on mommy blizzard to force people over.
I suspect they will force who they can over to cata and later release “fresh” Wrath servers later, to get back some customers. But, I will not be starting over.

I am hopeful they are leaving us in the dark regarding wrath era in order to sell as many cataclysm bundle packs as possible before revealing they will indeed support wrath era servers.
I also do not want to start over, neither do those who move on to cataclysm. They should open a fresh wrath era server and offer free transfers until cataclysm launches. If I lose my name upon transferring and have to rename–so be it. I would be okay with that in exchange for wrath era.

I honestly have to disagree. It keeps the discussion of permanent wrath classic going.
I kind of just hope we get a cloning service to a permanent wrath classic realm. That is all I want really.
In almost any other situation you would be correct, however as the RDF spam showed us, necroing the threads in the way that this was done draws negative attention and gets those threads deleted. Removing that discussion, that you want to keep going.
People keep saying I necroed threads. But they were only a month old. It wasn’t like ten months ago. And all of these threads are still very much relevant in my op. Each made by a different person.
In my op, it isn’t a thread necro unless the thread is like 10 months old. None of these threads are old enough yet. I found all of them pretty easily to.
Not really spamming either. Just posting my perspectives to different people. I mean, the people who feel wrath classic shouldn’t happen. Why are they even here. Same thing with the people who don’t think it will be profitable enough. They don’t need to be saying anything either.
Blizzard closes a thread after 2 months with no replies. You can not “necro” a thread after 2 months. They have also deleted threads suspended the poster when someone revives numerous threads that haven’t had a reply in a couple of weeks. We’ll see what happens in this case. As I said given the holidays when there’s even less moderation than the current low standard you may or may not get away with it.
But you know, if there was truly a ground swell of posters asking for wrath era servers you wouldn’t need to necro old threads by the dozens. That you did should tell you something about how many want it.
