At this point there’s no reason to not implement this feature. There’s already plenty of changes for BC.
I’m not trying to have any ugly armor sets anymore, I enjoy my T1 Felheart look, and i’d like to stay with this for the remainder of BC.

Wear the Felheart then
I’d love to get xmog. It’s one of the things that Blizzard should have had from the beginning. And yeah. Since TBC Classic is already waaaaaay off there rails might as well.
Transmog would be brilliant, criminal how long it took them to put it into the game
While xmog is something I feel could be added.
I am curious. Everyone keeps using the “So much has changed already. May as well add more.”
Yet I don’t see much of what they changed. Both faction Paladins access to both seals?
Go to Retail if you want transmog.
Changes to Arena, Adding the Mounts and boosts. Think they changed how energy regen works for classes that use it.
Boosts don’t affect BC. It just allows people to skip 1-60 zones if they don’t want to play it. Allowing people to come play just TBCC
1 Mount skin means nothing. No mechanical differences.
Energy regen? This is accurate energy regen from 2.4.3. Just like Classic, this game will be based on its latest patch. This was going to be obvious / known from how they explained they were going to do Classic.
Arenas, only possible change would be MMR, but no confirmation on that yet.
So far 0 changes
Transmog is also just skins. No mechanical changes.
Like the mount added, adding Xmog or a barber shop would just be cosmetic and have no mechanical changes to the game. For the people who get all upset because they want to see what gear people are actually wearing heck they could add a toggle for them to display the xmog on their screen or not.
That’s a bit wrong, arena got a few changes.
Nagrand Arena tornado is wild, at least I don’t remember it being that prominent
Season 1 Shoulders and Weapon have 2000 and 1850 rating requirements, respectively. Rating Requirements weren’t on gear until Season 3 originally.
Arena teams start at 0 Rating instead of the original 1500
Boosts are a change, you can’t just ignore that.
No one who does arena actually cares about starting at 0. And the requirements also dont really matter either due to it’s not even a hard raiting to get to.
They could implement it but it should be way more expensive and only be performed in the middle of the Mana Tombs…
I’d prefer they add in things that were actually in TBC like the LFG tool and guild bank. And fix some of the massive list of bugs.
But do you agree that they’re changes?
they could implement items as cosmetics brought at vendors, so as to keep them separate from item drops , and only have those brought items xmoggable , with perhaps the exception of BoP items
the main complaint against xmog for classic … is that the way it’s been implemented on retail, leads to inflated prices on low level gear due to their aesthetics as opposed to their stats - of which is more important for players leveling up
It also gives the low level that got that drop a marketable item. Those mounts in classic aren’t cheap.
The tornado was wild.
Yes starting at 0 instead of 1500 is a change. No real game altering issues. But yes a change.
However the cost of gear - was in season 3 Aka 2.4.3. So that is not a change. Since the ClassicS starts at latest patch.
marketable items ought to be founded on their rarity - not their looks
though I can see this as being sometime we’ll have to agree to disagree upon
