I think limited time items are fine - for a time.
Mage Tower came out over half a decade ago. I think that’s enough time to enjoy the fruits of your exclusivity (from over gearing it with Antorus gear)
Mythic Raiders have all of their mounts invalidated in the next expansion or two.

I didn’t overgear it with raid stuff.
It’s funny how people use this argument but in another thread they’ll argue that Blizzard designs the game for the top 1%.

And I don’t feel that the removal of any content, especially cosmetic, is a benefit to anyone.

Great, but the items were still available to people who could. The ‘challenge’ was largely invalidated.

To be fair you can still do this with socketed gear and certain trinkets. As well as the DF talent trees just giving you access to old legendary powers. Some of the current mage tower challenges are a cake walk, more so than their Legion counterparts.
Because it’s a lie.
The value is in its scarcity, and deep down you know it.

This obsession with gatekeeping is really gross. Lame attempts at gaslighting by saying its not gatekeeping are just as bad.
I was unable to play during legion, but I have completed the mage tower and I have the rock bear skin. I still would like to have the other skins. It really would not hurt anyone to add them back into the game. They were exclusive/rare for many years, it is OK to release them again.

Players can’t gatekeep. Blizz is the one who made the decision to never bring them back.
Sparkle kitty isn’t even unique. It’s the same exact cat form as the base Legion one, it just trails sparkles.
The more unique form for druid cats was the hidden appearance. Not the MT one.
If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at Blizz. No player here can gatekeep you and no one is gaslighting you.

Nah. For me, that was only the case when it was still obtainable. Having something others didn’t, but they could still get, made me feel pretty good about my skills as a player at the time.
Now it’s just like, I was there at the right place at the right time. Doesn’t really do anything for me.

It’s not gatekeeping because I’m not a dev. I don’t have the power to keep the MT out of the game.
“Gatekeeping” is such a stupid phrase. I think the one you’re looking for is “disagreeing”, because that’s all it comes down to.
And last I checked, disagreeing about policy in a game and pixels is not “gross.”
