I have all the ones I want too and don’t want them to return.
New models sure, but the fact is they stated they won’t return, they also recently said nothing that was earned will be on the trade post.
If they come back I won’t be mad but I say they should keep their word as betraying the players trust and going back on their word is not a smart company decision. Especially since that’s what makes an MMO special. You get rewards for being in the game at that time. Your little piece of history.

Tovi is one of those people who thinks that new players should utterly stop caring about the game, because that’s what’s best for the game.
I have some Legion mage tower appearances on my other account. I have some other rare stuff, some hard to get stuff, some impossible stuff, and just stuff I worked eons to get.
I want them to bring it all back. I think anything that has a <1:100 drop rate should be put back to 1<100. I think every rare drop should have bad luck protection that guarantees after you’ve reached the theoretical number of attempts you will get the item on the next kill. I think that the game should not pander to people who can’t feel good about what they have if other people can get that, too. I think wanting to make new players feel bad and publicly mocking them over wanting pretties is a character flaw.

Yeah because I totally said that.
I’ll wait for the receipts on that quote.

I made an observation about how you’ve become more abrasive and trollish over time. I don’t care one way or another. Trust me, I’ve had much worse things said to me.
I’m not playing a victim, I’m stating facts. There’s a difference.
Blizzard is the most trustworthy of the billion dollar corporations. They’ve always honored their word. Their word is oak. /s

Yeah I’m not hounding you across threads. I’m replying to you when you reply to me.
I’m a big advocate for the ignore function for anyone that feels “hounded” by me.

You literally brought it up in this thread here. This thread has nothing to do with what I said in my plunderstorm thread. Why’d you bring it up?
You just seem a little obsessive about that one detail.

Oh yes like trying to push them to break a word is somehow objectively better? Lol sure.

When there’s no downside to it? Yes.

You have to be one of the most hypocritical people on the GD.

Because I called you out? Sure.
Nah because you call me out on things you do.
You know, hypocritical.

There is. Something this big being lied about would be quite damaging. How would anyone ever take their word for anything else ever then? You think after all the controversy throwing ALL trust to the wind outside and inside we the game has no downside…
Oh boy…

I don’t bring up other irrelevant discussion from other threads to try to further my argument.
You have said many, many times that new players should not care about collecting. Many times I have pointed out to you that grooming players not to care about the game - of which collecting is a valid and intended playstyle - is bad for the game.

I agree with Tovi, this post has devolved into childish antics and insults. Look at some of the garbage pouring out of you guys.
Every single one of these mage tower reward “request” topics is the same.
It is such a moot point. There is literally no satisfactory answer to be found. Blizzard sat around and came to that conclusion themselves when they brought the mage tower 2.0. out with new rewards.

Nobody takes their word seriously now. It would be no different.
It would only benefit players. Bringing them back wouldn’t take YOURS away and wouldn’t take away YOUR history with that. It would just let others enjoy something.

I wouldn’t worry about it just yet.
For Ion to constantly say “nah it’s not happening” and for this to be the longest stance they have taken (it’s been a big no since vanilla), I don’t see them going back on their word until Ion is fired or the game is in trouble and they need to pull a ripcord. Maybe if Microsoft is more money hungry than the previous owners but by that point, why would you even want to play anymore?

There is more content in the game right now than people can manage to do. That wasn’t always the case. Blizzard used to have dry spells and they did things like this to keep people playing.
If people are spiteful because they can’t get something that was removed, they probably would be better off changing their attitudes.

Prove it. If I said it many times, prove it.
Btw, I’ll help you out since I’m such a nice gal, I know for a fact I have never said that phrase in any way.
But, I know I have said that new players shouldn’t care about removed items, which I’m sure for anyone with a very tiny brain that can’t comprehend much that could translate into “hurrr durr new players shouldn’t care about collecting durrr”.
