If they are doing heroic why would they go after the LFR version instead of the normal or heroic version? Serious question, not being snarky.
Interesting…
Selectively quoting me out of context doesn’t make you clever, it just makes you a d***.
Because the LFR version “should” (theoretically) be easier to farm if Normal is “progression” (and up and up). N’Zoth is very… awkward fight. It’s actually easier the fewer people you have - the best heroic comp is 2 tanks, 2 healers and 6 dps because of how the fight scales. This punishes guilds with bigger rosters. On my server it seems like most people who have killed heroic N’Zoth did it in a pug with people who got their gear from high level mythic+ dungeons.
I’m definitely a dick but it’s not my fault you can’t use the word “literally” correctly.
Oh? You think someone’s using Literally wrong? Let’s check out Merriam Webster, shall we?
Definition of literally
1 : in a literal sense or manner: such as
a : in a way that uses the ordinary or primary meaning of a term or expression He took the remark literally. a word that can be used both literally and figuratively
b —used to emphasize the truth and accuracy of a statement or descriptionThe party was attended by literally hundreds of people.
c : with exact equivalence : with the meaning of each individual word given exactly The term “Mardi Gras” literally means “Fat Tuesday” in French.
d : in a completely accurate way a story that is basically true even if not literally true
2: in effect: virtually —used in an exaggerated way to emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible
“will literally turn the world upside down to combat cruelty or injustice*”— Norman Cousins
Note the highlighted second definition for Literally.
That not enough for you? Try Oxford adding it to their dictionary too:

English is Ever-Evolving. If you want to pick at someone’s grammar, perhaps you should make sure you’re correct first?
The dregs of the wow community
Proud of it.
Don’t you know? A small percentage of the retail WoW population have disabilities, so they can’t enjoy content like this normally.
Can’t forget about them and have to shape content around them, too, ya know…
LFR is for TOURISM.
This is exactly what LFR is suppose to be, but for some reason people think it should be really difficult.
Find a guild? Why are you even in there of you hate it so much?
If you want to pick at someone’s grammar, perhaps you should make sure you’re correct first?
That would just make us both correct. Point conceded.
It took my group 8 tries to finally down N’zoth yesterday.
The things that I learned from it is:
- Dps doesn’t matter much on most attempts people were still pulling less then 25k dps.
- You need someone who understands the fight and is willing to explain it and answer questions as well as beware of problems that arise and point them out. Preferably as helpful criticism and not raging.
- Use /s or /rw to explain mechanics. For most people say shows up as a chat bubble so they see it more often then just group chat but raid warning is the best as it has a sound to get peoples attention as well.
- Start your explanations slowly and work on the fight stage by stage. If you explain the last stage without seeing how far your going to progress then your just adding to the confusion.
Mechanics
- Warn people that they need to use the neck at no less then 20 sanity.
- Ask people to jump off the side if they are about to be mind controlled (explain this as your screen turns blue/purple.)
- If you are melee and get linked run out of melee and stack together. Explain that it is better to do no dps for 10 sec then to kill other people.
- Mark someone with a marker and have people follow them.
- Also had to ask to save hero for the last phase. We would have downed it a pull before hand but for some reason I never noticed we were heroing on pull previously.
- Set up the groups to go down and watch who listens. If someone doesn’t go down take them out of the group and replace them with someone else.
It was tons of fun and people actually felt a sense of accomplishment when we downed it. There were tons of cheers and people thanking the leaders. It was a great time and I can’t wait to try it again next week.
Even when you have coordination you still need between 8 and 10 stacks of determination to have the dps to get Psychus down fast enough.
Or people could just do more than 20k dps. I have no idea how but people do season 1 levels of dps in there even with an extra 100 item levels, 4 essences and corruption.
I just want to see the cinematic w/ my toon and get the stupid achievement.
Been in your spot several times. Persevered. Killed him six times in eight runs; yes, two runs fell apart, but six succeeded, in an average of nine pulls each.
Persevere. Dunno what else to say, unless you want the cliche:
“Make your own group for a Normal run.”
If you work a rotating schedule and evenings, such as I, there is no such thing as a “progressive” guild - people would maybe be able to pug 4 bosses before people bailed and just because you’re used to working to midnight doesn’t mean you don’t want to be in bed around 2:30. Some people have this thing called “adult responsibilities” that limits how much of the traditional game they can enjoy. I’m not 18 anymore and living at home with mom and dad man.
“Oh just learn the game get guud lol”
People who understand exactly what to do still cant do this fight in lfr.
- If they dont play enough to have a guild run, that doesnt mean they dont know the fight… it just means they dont know 24 other players eho also do
or 2… they get grouped with latin server players, making it impossible to coordinate anything.
Dont nerf the fight… just delete ragnaros.
I have pugged this multiple times on heroic (on leave geared characters). It’s really not a difficult fight because it’s not tuned to be now that we have corruption. People just need to do mechanics.

I think this would be extreme… but I do think that latin realms should be locked to their own region (like na / eu / China). The language barrier is a SERIOUS issue.
I’ve said it many times before, LFR N’Zoth is not hard. It has a couple extra mechanics (watch your sanity bar and push big button to make it better). It does not need a nerf - it will be out for MONTHS, if not longer, before the next content patch comes out… plenty of time for even the most casual people to dramatically outgear it and make even those mechanics moot.
Why are those who proclaim themselves to be “too casual for anything but LFR” have such a rush to finish the current patch? If you need to experience the end of current content, when it is relatively new, then you aren’t casual enough and need to either wait, or join a guild for normal. You will eventually get to see all of the content in the current patch.
You whine more than my middle school students.
If you act like this during the encounter, I can see why so many people dip out after a wipe. Who wants to listen to a petulant child blaming everybody else? Unless you have logs to link, pardon me for doubting that you performed flawlessly in the encounter.
Why are you even doing it? You seem to have at least half a working brain cell so the fault seems to be on YOUR side. Maybe it’s time you start queuing up for normal or heroic and play with the big boys instead of the “dregs of wow”?
