Please mesh XP on and XP off together again

I mean leveling was so quick through BGs, and people say it’s the slowest?? Yes took me over a month (I also only play couple hours a night) but most of that was queue times and the length of the BG. If people actually think leveling in this game sucks now, I don’t wanna see them play Classic…

you’re one of the rare people that actually do it lol, most people want to level to max asap so they quest/dungeon spam they can hit max level in a week or so.

Agreed leveling sucks. Which is why twinks like to find a certain bracket they enjoy and sit in it. Since leveling is just a mindless repetitive slog of mind-numbing content.

Its not speed that determined it sucked. The repetitive nature and lack of challenge determined it sucked.

Yep, can’t imagine it takes that long using all methods.

The lack of an expansive toolkit while leveling is also an issue that makes the whole thing just bleh.

Leveling has always been that way…

Hahah, it seemed more fun back then. Probably because of the sense of discovery. We hadn’t seen it all data-mined and simmed and previewed in PTR, and showcased at Blizzcons. Most importantly, we hadn’t done it all 3000 times before.

To reference by “kill the bird” comment above, back then it was “Haha, that’s a stupid bird I get to kill it? LOL I took it’s egg!” But that ship’s sailed though. Now we just want to click the things without getting hit and fly back to the :grey_question:

I disagree, during earlier expansions you had something to look forward to. A talent point that actually did something substantial. Weapon skills determining hit and miss ratios. Class identity meaning something. Pruning cut too many things though.

It’s not too bad honestly. I have a 110 Rogue that didn’t touch BGs and he’s at 1d16h. The Hunter I’ve been BGing on is 110 as well with 2d3h. He did 96 BGs + quests. It was a lot more interesting than following an Azeroth Autopilot arrow.

“Back then” when the game was new and fresh and meeting new people was a thing, yea.

Yea and now you have the boost to w/e level.

But was the journey fun and engaging. Or did you just pound a lot of soda listen to music and shut off your brain.

Mine was fun through BGs, even with twinks there.

The Game I know and Love was designed to promote this.
Static experience changed things forever.

Not always. I remember swimming to the bottom of the lake to learn why druids shapeshift into manatees and then earning that ability.

Ah yes the good ole days. When shamans had to learn to use totems, and carry em in bags lol. Class specific quests that unlocked abilities.

Oh okay, aside from a strange quest here and there, wow leveling has mostly been repetitive and tedious.

I liked how it was in wod, super fast. Still tedious and repetitive, but fast. Now though … gotta pad those boost sales so nerf heirlooms and raf right in the gutter.

Or lengthen the time it takes to pad MAUs, they win either way.

It’s still really fast. If it was faster than this, I don’t blame them for nerfing it a bit.
