is it really like it was before it blew up? I’ve been enjoying sod a lot but now you’re making me want to play era again too. i really miss how whitemane was before it blew up in popularity. i guess it does make sense all the toxic people would be busy on sod.

Ye all the toxic parse monkeys are on SoD right now. ERA is so chill rn with the usual crowds and familiar faces still around if you’ve played alot before.

Would now be the time to revisit my Warrior that was gearing through AQ in Era? Would it be raidable without GDKP?
Now is a great time to pickup Classic Era, imo. With SoD out, you have a lot of the “new shiny” group over in SoD land, and you’re left with a lot of the Vanilla/Era forever purists.
I don’t play on the two primary clusters (Whitemane and Mankirk) but from what I read, there are guilds on both who run non GDKP, but I have no clue what their guilds look like or capacity etc is. I know GDKP seems to be the primary loot system on those clusters.
I play over on Grobbulus, which is not clustered due to it being an RP-PvP realm (and per the spirit of this forum post, we prefer to remain unmerged and unclustered!). Since we’ve remained by ourselves, our population is tiny (about 35 active raiders and 5-10 folks leveling most times), but our guild has a great community going that we’ve steadily built over the last two years.
We are currently 11/15 in Naxx and would love a few more dedicated raiders to help clear the last few bosses and then continue on our quest to play Classic Era into the future! We do not have any GDKP systems here.
Check it out if you’re interested, otherwise I would say Whitemane and Mankirk are your best bets!
Wow, that sounds fantastic. I played on Grobb for my whole time on Classic, and mained my Warrior through AQ-40 progression. I unfortunately got nothing other than the taunt trinket in two months of raiding it, so I’m not much further along than BWL (other than a sick Empyrean Demolisher pull between phase 3 and 4 
)

I promise we will be getting you more loot than that in no time!! It sounds like you’ll fit right in. A bunch of us are Day 1 Grobb folk who never left when TBC happened. There’s also a bunch who transferred over here post TBC as we’ve recruited and grown outside our small server!
We don’t just run Naxx, but it’s our focus as it’s the only thing we haven’t fully cleared yet. We routinely run BWL still, and almost always do at minimum an MC binding run. Full clear MC when there’s demand for it. Occasionally we hop back into AQ40 as well (which we have cleared many times now before we entered Naxx), and then we do adhoc ZG/Aq20 and dungeons.
Primary raid days are M/F 7-10pm Pacific time, and typically off day raids are Wednesday or Saturday, but those are more loosely planned versus the regular M/F main raid.
I got hard locked on my warrior at needing BWL. That’s where the 100% GDKP only runs are and beyond. You can do MC just fine and possibly AQ40 but for some reason BWL is the deal breaker for people wanting to GDKP or not.
All the guilds I’ve seen post ads for BWL are GDKPs.
