The amount of people who thought they would keep these due to a bug, one which Blizzard announced they were going to fix, is staggering.

If Blizzard weren’t lazy they’d start putting out more stuff for druids to earn every expansion, as opposed to going decade-long stretches with nothing.
They’d also make evoker actually get to transmog their gear.

Hoped, sure, but that’s not the same thing. 
If there’s anything the hotfix showed it’s that you can bet they are serious that these forms will never return.
And tbh, I think it also looks like bad news regarding ever seeing that sparkle effect on a form ever again too - seeing as how the hottest post on the forums is completely ignored by the staff, despite all the ideas and requests for a fel-themed form or more druid forms in general to be added to the remix due to players WANTING these things.
kind of demoralizing tbh…I remember when the player had much more pull, but now we’re merely peasants with no voice. to think many of us have played this game for like 20 years…really sad

They didn’t ignore anything. They told us before remix they weren’t putting them back in. Then they told us it was a bug that they were unlocked and it’d be patched.
There’s been a billion mage tower threads over the years and they’ve already given the answer. People were just coping big time.
Fel forms aren’t coming for multiple reasons. First the cat form wasn’t a unique model just a skin, which is why there’s a fel-werebear. Second, even though they added a fel-werebear there’s still tons of complaints that they want a non-fel version. Third, they’d have to make re-skins for every spec, 36 models to accommodate every spec.

i think it’s really ignorant for them to pick and choose. For players who weren’t playing or ones that were not old enough to play during legion are being punished and what for? By this same standard then why dont blizz take out the blue proto drake from Skadi i got during WOTLK when it was current why can players still get it? Why don’t they take away players ability to get other mounts like Rusted Proto, Iron Bound Proto, and TLPD that were exclusive to the WOTLK expac? Why can they get invincibles reigns? Things i got during WOTLK xpac and yet other players who started way after i did still get this opportunity? Please tell me why players cant get the opportunity to get the Grizzle maw bear forms?

Um, I know that it was a bug, and I never seriously advocated for us to keep the forms…in fact I’ve said that because we didn’t earn them, it’s not fair to keep them. I’m saying the thread itself (being the hottest discussed topic across multiple social media platforms) which has a ton of ideas/requests have gone completely ignored by blizzard. which it has…that’s a fact.
so idk if you’re just reinforcing your opinion that “Exclusive things should stay exclusive nyah!” (which I agree with btw) or what…but I don’t think the sparkle effect is anything new, so I don’t buy their reasoning for not having it added to other forms. The effect has been in the game in the form of Enchanted dust for years (they just amplified it onto the forms).
they can add it to a moonkin form or flight form or something - not just a cat - we don’t have one of those so why not? or is the only time we’ll ever see the friggin sparkle pixels on the mage tower cats? how lazy and lame is that?
When you have that many people asking for the effect to be added onto a new form, including players that have the originals - I think that should spark a response or some sort of acknowledgement from the staff that they are looking into that feedback.
No. You don’t get to have things just because you want them. Exclusivity is good for a game.
I literally stopped tanking on my Druid because the transmog already more limited then a normal class and because I didn’t play at a specific time, I’m locked out of the objectively one of the coolest forms.
Even IF it was a challenge back then (which it wasn’t by the end of the expansion), but even if it was, then by having the mode out now and still challenging (which it wasn’t), would be an acceptable form because it’s based on skill, not time.
With all that being said, it’s a game of pixels. We own nothing. It’s so embarrassing to see adults cling to their leased pixels because they need to feel special in a way they don’t get irl. If seeing someone else with the wearbear skins makes you like yours less, that’s embarrassing.
Sure, I don’t see anything wrong with what you wrote. I don’t mind a handful of exclusive items. This has become a seasonal game over the last few expansions. Every season has a handful of limited time appearances and I’m fine with that. I’m not trying to be petty or gloating, it just is what it is. The majority of stuff stays in anyways.
As far as druid forms the real problem is that they haven’t added any really cool ones for ages. New forms should come far more often, maybe even every raid tier. They managed to make 20 bear and 20 cat appearances for legion, asking for even half of that per expansion shouldn’t be a huge ask.
Specifically with the mage tower forms, I just think a lot of people can’t handle having anything walled off. They only want it because they can’t have it.

I cancelled my sub to and im waiting to see if they give us some cat forms in remix of any kind. The whole Legion experiences had to do with bear and cat forms.
Come to classic anniversary. Alot more fun than retail is atm. Until midnight at least.

I worked really hard to unlock flying on certain expansions and then they just gave it away with the prepurchase expac. I also worked really hard to unlock the allied races and they shortened it and made it less time consuming for new players. Also the AOTC mounts are supposed to be exclusive and now they are bringing them back. I understand that the cat forms are supposed to be for players who earned them but why just them. Please lock the flying for people who didnt earn it in certain expacs. Also the class order hall campaign took a really long time to do but they shortened it for new players. Why only stay to the hard rules on these cat and bear forms.

But the mage tower challenge for felbear will always remain. that isn’t going away now is it?
Players who beat the felbear version of mage tower would technically qualify to represent the OG skins, too. Point is, we already “beat” that same challenge those legion players went through

No you didn’t the mage tower was designed around what we had during legion.
The version we have now is a shell of it’s former self because they would have to completely redesign it for what we have now and we all know they arn’t going to do that they pretty much just changed a few values and went meh thats enough.
The originals were designed to push you to your limits and test your mastery of the class/spec on release and they were awesome at the end of the expansion even if you had the best gear in the game you could still get smoked if you didn’t do them right now their are guides they say what to do and what trinkets to buy to cheese the fights.

The original MT by the time Antorus released were easier than doing a full mask Vision right now with 720ilvl, you could steamroll them both hard, feral one was specially easy since you could 1 shot all imps with 1 brutal slash. Calling it a mastery of a class/spec is a big LAUGH. The only thing being pushed to the limits was the scripting of the encounter when you deleted the boss hp with late Antorus ilvl and buffs.
So I don’t see why they couldn’t return, they did it with Visions and it was fine.
Anyone that didn’t do MT didn’t do it because they were simply not playing at the time, never because of skill or mastery of anything.
If you want to act smug about mage tower don’t lie and just tell people “you should’ve played legion”
