Please make the Legion Mage tower druid forms obtainable again

No one cares about achievements or titles. I never stop to admire someone’s title. Cool t-mog and such though? Yeah I stop to inspect all the time.

I wish I had the werebear forms, but I didn’t even try back in 2017 to get them. I did get the Feral forms, but besides the point, I realize I didn’t attempt the MT tank challenge, and therefore, I do not deserve them. Some of us just aren’t in the right places at the right times and that is okay, that is life.

The discussion should be for full on druid animal form customizations, with pages of stuff to choose from like Evokers/Dracthyr have. In the end this would be much better, then rarely could 2 druids look the same.

That would be the smartest investment of Blizzards dev time. Not only would it create greater variety with less effort, it would be sustainable. Bliz could launch a new base form every tier or expansion and then as they added new “modules” or allowed old ones to apply it would unlock player creativity to find the most personally satisfying combinations.

And that tech could be facilitated with crafter options as well. Let enchanters make permanent illusions to change the eye color or type of animal forms. Inscriptionists could produce glyphs to change the furr patterns or tatoos (imagine FelBear with an icy blue highlight color or different tattoo patterns). And maybe alchemists could provide “hair dye” to change the highlight color or base fur color of your favorite cat or bear.

Little pieces. Not that hard to enable and possible to maintain and expand with each expansion or tier. Unlocking a flood of player creativity, expression, and satisfaction that would leave the issues of MT forms in the past.

C’mon bliz… let’s unlock the potential of the changeling class!

It is long over due imho. When they announced the Emerald Dream patch, I had such high hopes. The forms there were a pittance compared to what we could have had.

Character expression is one of the most important parts of WoW and allowing us druids to look diverse would solve a lot of problems a lot of us have. Heck, they could even add glows like the fiery boomkin form. Even if things like this dropped off bosses, it would get people out in the world, new or old content, to engage with it. Could you imagine a panther (instead of lions) with the sparkle glow and trailers behind it? Or a jungle cat/tiger. Maybe even finally give worgen exclusive wolf forms to choose from. The sky would be the limit!

Yes, rarity breeds desire. But I’d be rocking Sparkle Kitty even if every other druid on Azeroth was doing the same. It’s beautiful. It’s the sparkliest, girliest, prettiest kitty in WoW. I endlessly want to watch that sparkly trail flow over and behind my glowing kitty.

It’s a travesty that they haven’t released a single recolor. It’s not like we haven’t been asking.

No its not. It is a god damn game and if it expects to have revenue and keep going, non-returning exclusivity is to be used in VERY specific circumstances or you end up alienating a bunch of potential players who will get frustrated for not being there “in the past” to get all the things the game could offer. Getting those skins is not like doing a Mythic, it shows nothing except you had the time to be online duing a certain time. And it’s not like they release a bunch of skins to make up for it. ESO , FFXIV all have events to allow past content to new/returning players.

Most players of Magic: The Gathering do not have any of the power 9. This hasn’t prevented MTG from being widely popular despite that.

Games do not require unrestricted access to everything ever made for the game for the game to succeed.

Considering the game is 20 years old and still going strong, your statement is completely false. It’s a reward for people who had “time to be online”… it’s called supporting the game. It’s a reward for playing. This me me me attitude needs to die. You don’t deserve everything just because you want it.

People don’t deserve eternal prestige due to a fluke of the universe meaning they existed at the right time, in the right game, in the right way, (I was there, praise me!) but that’s what some are seemingly arguing for.

“Resting on your laurels” is the term for it. Accomplished something once, and expect to be lauded for that forever.

Very few are asking for these “just because (they) want it” (And ftr, I’d happily see all MT appearances, tints and all, on a vendor. I enjoy using mine a great deal, but the act of earning them is 8 years and a month ago (Applesmoke-Draenor EU, if y’care :stuck_out_tongue: ) and utterly meaningless to me now).

The vast, vast majority are asking for methods to earn them. I don’t think that’s unreasonable in the slightest.

(Sorry for repeat posts, had issues with the forum page -.- ! )

I’ve cancelled my WoW sub. I will probably be back for Midnight, atleast for a little bit, depending on how good it is, but after 7 years of asking for MT skins to return and/or re-colors and not receiving anything, it becomes time to just move on. I appreciate all the people I’ve debated this with over the years (well maybe not everyone); Everyone has different opinions on this topic.

As a druid main since Cataclysm (and took a break for most of the Legion expansion), it is not great to see awesome rewards be released, just because you wern’t there you are unable to obtain them.

You can see the people that are spiteful and want to keep things like this for themselves out of greed. I’m glad I did the challenges when they were available, but holding back things like this that only add aesthetics because of an old challenge and crying no lifers is not good. Pandering to people with no lives that use “gaming achievements” to flex against people that didn’t even exist is also not good. This is like living in your kid’s house and showing off to the world that you own a 93 Ford Taurus.

I don’t think it’s spite. I don’t think either side is being selfish here, just both sides feel backed into a corner.

Bliz offered a very kool prize for people who did something very difficult. (yes, there is room to argue how difficult it was at the end) Likely everyone expected those forms to be top of the curve options for that expansion and be strong into the next. Then likely fade into a pack of new forms, but still be unique and memorable.

But Blizzard stopped producing new forms (with a few exceptions) for nine years. And the result has been the Druid class separating into two groups—one permanently privileged with the best forms and one permanently left to make do without them. We now have people who weren’t even in the game when earning those forms was an option, and those many of those folks resent being perma stuck in a second tier status.

Bringing new forms, especially really good ones, into the game is hard and dev intensive. We’ve asked for new forms for nine years (twenty really), but that hasn’t happened. Frustrated people have therefore suggested bliz make it possible to earn those “top tier” forms again (or recolors).

A proposal that has no fair outcome. Either folks who earned unique forms will lose some of the uniqueness they expected to enjoy (even after they likely expected different but equally good forms would have been introduced). Or new players will continue to not have access to what has been the best forms for almost a decade.

I think adding a way for new players to “earn” recolors in Legion Remix (and after) is the lesser unfairness. Which might be what happens. But yea, it’s gonna sting for some folks and they may be understandably prickly about it. Not spiteful, just frustrated.

After this whole ordeal of everyone having access to the forms (which I hope desensitized people to how big of a deal having them widely available is) they should just make the Mage Tower in Legionfall Remix be

  1. Scales all your gear/stats and make it insanely hard if you want
  2. Make it reward reskins of the original forms but make them DRUID-ESQUE, the reason no one likes the Fel Werebear is because its fel :skull: it just looks so off on a druid

Matter of fact I would LOVE an impossibly hard level of mage tower that would reward those forms for druids or even if they made the mage tower kind of like Ky’Veza in retail where there are different difficulty levels that give you different rewards and the “impossible” level gave you the reskins Id love that.

The reskins dead dont need to be anything crazy, because I do think prestige comes from keeping some unobtainable things unobtainable, but like a GRAY werebear that looks like a regular werebear would be completely fine or a white ghost cat, etc…

Open a wing in torghast - make it upper wing 50 - scale it with itemlevel and level - give us a recolor and a completely new form for completing - done deal thanks problem solved

As a druid main who got the appearances “by accident” when logging into Legion Remix, and as someone who posted a lot in favor of bringing them back, I’ll admit I was underwhelmed and have updated my view on this topic.

It is of course great to have them, but truly fine without them because honestly they are pretty low res at this point.

Instead, we all need to fight for something different on these forums: we desperately need the options to customize our cats and bears similar to how the moonkin can now be customized.

We need some high res armor options to go on them like you see on some NPCs in Legion and old incarn forms, etc. We need sparkly options like the mage tower one, and we need newer high res models that we can mix and match like moonkin. And then it can be either updated with patches and x-packs and/or as rewards for content that comes back regularly (NOT one time only).

Basically, we druids need to band together and fight for that, and not old worn-out appearances.

What sucks about this not being a form available for feral druids is that Sul’raka shares her skin with Kimbul. An actual freakin’ loa.

So, you know, lore-approps to have this form available.

This was probably the most disappointing thing I’ve ever dealt with in WoW.

For years, we’ve been asking for this, sharing ideas and solutions… and for years, we were completely ignored.

Legion Remix was the perfect moment to make it happen… and somehow, they managed to make it even worse with this freaking glitch.

Want us to forget about Mage Tower? Then make new, freaking remarkable appearances for Druids.

I’m so disappointed, lol… oh boy.

Whelp, this is dumb. I guess a lot of level 10-70 toons will be pleased at the lack of fun allowed for druids visually.

There’s always one that thinks he’ll get extra points for being fanboi.

You know, I have all but the bear mage tower form as I don’t tank. I worked really hard when it was current to get the forms and wore them with pride (Looking at you pride mother). I would be completely fine making them an option to get now. I just don’t get the gatekeeping mentality.

There are plenty of players that didn’t get the sparkly kitty and all that because they just weren’t playing the game at the time. It’s been so many years I don’t see the harm in letting others enjoy the cosmetic forms.

Its because Blizzard is childish, period, plain, simple. They’re too busy making sure the woke programing is getting out there. They could give two bunnies about you.
