It’s not the same thing though. It is more primal but arcane is basically just arcane magic but needing incantations and spells. Blue magic is just used by instinct. Hence the gameplay of evokers are so much instant casting and movement.
this isn’t a distinction in the actual lore. nowhere does any source tell us this. this is all your invention.
frankly i don’t really care about this convo too much; most dracthyr are cringe regardless and so mitigating conversation is usually my preference. but ‘class fantasy’ is keeping this class in the toilet.
Class and class fantasy is fine. Only thing keeping it in the “toilet” is the player base.

That wasn’t why, it is because he couldn’t control them anymore with Titan order magic and the ability of free will with all the dragon aspect powers was too dangerous for him.
There is a whole questline of another black dragon confronting Neltharions that even with free will they were loyal but he just encased her in amber
It was out of fear of his own creations in why he put them in stasis.
They probably have one of the most realistic body types in wow races and you call them iron deficient because they’re not the size of fridges. lol.

Wrong. Preservation evoker does’t need to use dragon form for almost their entire kit. Only Hover and breath attacks.
The difference here is that Evokers use the Dragonflight as their powers and use their dragon forms to evoke it. The literal point of the class is that you are a dragon. It’d be like asking to be a cat druid but you actually wanna be in human form, it doesnt make sense. If you’re in human form then you lose your teeth and claws for your attacks. Fire breath is fire breath from a dragon, you can’t do that in your visage form because then every blood elf and human would ask to breathe fire.

It’s a dragon class that does dragon things so no. If you want to play in your visage pick one of the non evoker classes that does not require you to be a dragon.
If there is anything that needs to be done is to open more mog slot options to the dragon appearance.
Just being able to mog just shoulders and belt is rather silly, the only mog option that should be blocked in dragon form is back slot.
The armor does not go with some classes like the cloth classes.

class fantasy still exist and isnt being thrown away. if the games class fantasy exist solely because of dracthyr then yes throw the whole thing away because it no longer has value. im not a screw it lets do whatever im a happy player base is better than a unhappy one. also since making money is their goal selling race changes/boosts is in their interest. im more of a my fun is more important to me than the 30 sec of poorly written lore that is being used by you people to try and prevent this. my enjoyment is more important to me than yours because when it happens since it eventually will your not gonna quit over the game. more people playing a under played class is a good thing. at the moment alot of work went into a class that nobody plays since its at 3.6% and thats just the class if we take dracthyr without the evoker and just them on any of the other classes open to every race there sub 1% total. so im all for anything to get more people playing the class i like while also being able to play the class i like how i like. its sad your unable to separate the class from the race like most people are
Because I want the game to still have a soul and not become souless and just become “let’s everyone be everything” because people can’t get into the fantasy.
I rather it stay at 4% players playing the class than seeing gnomes shooting blue flames from their mouth. Sorry, but keep the dragon aspect fantasy to the dragon type race. Not even Chromie uses her visage form when she starts using her dragon powers.

if every class being on every race is the end of this game then its time to let it die. the upside as we see from all these posts your the minority. all we have to do is wait for blizzard to slip up enough that alot of people unsub and this will be 1 of the main selling points to get people to come back. which direction they go i couldnt care less as long as the problem gets fixed
I rather they let the game die than do ever race every class. And please, the only way they lose subs is if ret paladins get deleted. That class is the most popular class.
when the world building, lore, and story telling is metaphorically equivalent to a steaming turd i think it’s worth devaluing
That’s exactly what they’re doing though, besides maybe the exclusive classes like Evoker or DH. They’ve been adding a class to all races more and more as time goes on lol. Outside of those exclusive cases we’re bound to see all 9 base classes added to everything. Making a total of 11 choices per race with DK and Monk inevitably being added to anything that exists an expansion or two down the road as always.
That would be perfect, honestly. I already hate that I just can’t wear belts or shoulders anymore because I do not want them showing on my Dracthyr form. I really wouldn’t mind wearing a belt on my Visage, though.
Would be the same if we ever got transmog. I like my mostly naked Dracthyr, but I also like having my Visage in a full robe.

shaman unlock could have it presented as them being former primalists who went back to their respective factions and wanted to learn to respect and deal with the elements the “right” way (not the lame hippy way everyone seems to think shamans are) by cutting deals with them
paladin unlock could be explained by the new tyr’s guard as shown in dragonflight, i doubt tyr himself would discriminate by race
demon hunter unlock - a bronze dragon did it
Most of the classes do make sense for other races but stuff like evokers and dh should take race exclusive.

and people are fine with evokers being race exclusive as long as they can be in combat as visage form cause this mcdonalds at home dragon isnt cutting it for anyone
Shaman and paladin makes sense because it is literally them gaining power from something else.
Evokers is something they’re born into so not for that class. Neither for DH because that should stay contained with the illdari of elves.
