I am aware. Look up the article I mentioned. It was specifically about fighting as one.
The current functionality does not seem intentional based off of what was said. If it is… they misled folks.

Not new to blizzard
Sadly true.
OP just wants to do everything wrong. Elf Warrior and now he wants to roll Elf Evoker.
In real life Dracthyr have to switch forms so they should have to in game also.
What
Show me where op brought it up first I dare you I quoted EXACTLY where you started it so show me where op brought it up first go ahead this will be funny and learn what gaslighting is lololol
I must admit, from an RP standpoint I like the idea of not being forced into drak’thyr form when combat starts, but rather as soon as you use an ability that requires the physical form, such as hover, deep breath, etc.
Blizzard themselves introduced the idea that dragons (and drakthyr) sometimes try to keep a low profile and not show their true form to people they don’t trust or want to deceive. I’d be totally fine (again, from an RP standpoint) handicapping myself off of certain abilities in order to stay in visage form.
But if I hover, deep breath, tail swipe, wing buffet, etc. then yes, I should be forced into drakthyr form to actually use it.
Then maybe don’t play the “stupid” dragon class? Nobody is forcing you to do anything
