It is starting to turn players toxic, when they see some competition they do what they can to force me out of the zone (following me with a faster mount and taking all the ore, stopping when I stop and literally sticking to my butt until ore is within sight then bee-lining for it). I’ve been in the badlands for over an hour and have gotten 4 ore. I tried other zones such as the hinterlands and tanaris, but ended up with nothing after an entire trip around the zone. My only promise ironically was the badlands, where a paladin is following me mercilessly. I just want to farm my ore and get out of here
The Maraudon instance is good for finding this as there is no competition. Take the waterfall entrance. You do not need a scepter. Of course, if you are lower level this isn’t so good, but it really is the best place to go if you’re having problems.

Did you try Desolace and STV? I went to those zones when I was leveling mining on my DK on Faerlina just recently and there wasn’t a ton of competition.

I wouldn’t waste my time mining now, especially without a fast mount. Any reason you’re mining now of all times?

STV felt like it was too much iron, I don’t think I saw any mithril, I’ll try desolace now though

Well I have the fastest mount I can buy, the 100%, it just so happens crusader aura and dk speed are a touch faster xD
I’m farming because I want to make enough gold to buy my skills, unfortunately I only had enough for the mount >< I started at 7am EST thinking it would be dead, but since then I’ve gotten half a stack of mithril and 2 stacks of iron…the iron will sell enough for the skills so I think I’m just done for the day. Super bummed.
You will find a bit of mithril in Desolace, but it’s still mostly Iron. What’s funny is I found the most mithril in Un’Goro Crater while mining Thorium. Admittedly it still wasn’t much. But for some reason, Un’Goro Crater nodes seem to respawn way faster. YMMV of course.

Yea I’ve heard really good things about the spawn rate in ungoro, I can’t wait to be high enough level to brave those dinos
Yeah, there is a lot of iron in STV. Well, hopefully, you can find what you need to level your skill and get gold or whatever. Getting to thorium is kind of annoying.
You’re not wrong that spawn rate increases, in general, would be nice. People are really going to notice the problems in Wrath I think. With transfers to so many servers being disabled the “dead realms” won’t be able to feed the really active ones materials. People don’t even know how much this was being used.
So you’re not wrong on that.
There are higher-level zones too that have Mithril but with you being 43 I didn’t want to mention them. I’m sure you’ve looked that up.
If I were on your server I’d just mail you skill up gold.
Were you perhaps looking in the wrong place? I think it only spawns in southern STV.
Well I really appreciate your help! I’m just going to focus on leveling for now since I’ve gotten enough other junk for the skills hopefully to at least level 45, then I’m going to just find a mara group and take all the ore in the dungeon >:)
Hopefully blizz still looks at increasing the spawn rate soon

Fly into Mudsprocket, there are a couple of Mithril and a gold node on the mountains south of there.
