As much as I love how much discussion we’ve been doing, making sure we stay front and center with the topic, I think instead of just post count we should be more hopeful and looking to try and raise the user count.
There’s only been 153 users on the thread over 1k post. Not trying to be negative about it, but last ditch efforts here, I hope in the next 24 hours if we can break into a higher number of unique accounts will resound more.
Agreed, but I think we’ve made fantastic progress for such a tiny window we’ve been allowed to make our case.
I agree with the sentiment here for the release of a RPPVP server at launch this Thursday. I believe there is enough demand and hope for a more mature crowd to flow into that server.
They changed their minds quickly when it comes to Chaos Bolt so like, they could quite easily reveal a new server, or shortly before or after.
I just wanted to say that I was there on day 1 of the Classic launch on the Grobbulus server, and although I didnt end up playing WoW for very long for real-life reasons, I’ve been cherishing those few weeks I did get to spend for the last 5 years.
It was never just about the RP, it was about building a community which for many, was the true reason they returned to Classic to begin with. To not being able to relive that experience again on Thursday, is just a complete shame.
Yeah we can still go around and RP, have chats, try and group up with random people, but we all know it’s not going to be the same. This kind of open-world community can only really thrive when a substantial portion of the player base actually participates in it.
P.S. In the super off-chance anyone remembers Paano and the free bag giveaways in Durotar, that was me! I mustve given out hundreds of them to new players and had so many cool conversations with others in those weeks.
The evenings with friends built around the RP was a reason to log in for just fun was really some of the most fun in the game. I can’t wait for another chance at it.
I started looking up old Grobbulus “world PvP event” videos and damn…you guys had some fun there. Hopefully Blizzard delivers on this front.

You don’t need a special server.
Redwood Tribes, Dwarven Overlords, Blacktooth Grin. Obsidian Sun Company, Hand of Lordaeron, Shattered Company, Final Boss and Countless others waged warfare all across Azeroth for pretty much the entire Vanilla timeline. To return to something like it would be great one day.

We’ve RPed on Non-RP servers before. This is not the case, as people in general are quite Hostile to RPers and also people don’t know to congregate there.
Redwood Tribes and others have held Various guilds on Season of Mastery and the Hardcore Servers. They didn’t last long, and they didn’t pick up new players for the RP, as RPers simply won’t roll on a server that isn’t RP because they don’t know where to congregate.
RPPVP has been around since 2005, and has always been among one of the most successful server types, and one of the still thriving realms on Cata to this day is Grobbulus for that very reason, with RPers still meeting there to this day.
I support No Changes. RPPVP has been in the game since RPPVPers fought for it in 2005.
The entire game is a RPG bro.
