there’s people on Grobbulus doing RP literally tonight in Astranaar lmao–and that’s when it’s in Cata, when most people have quit.
I would rather play Retail than Cata, and I’d rather play vanilla most of all, which is why we argue for. You are just wrong lol.

The Trilogy stands as a really solid bit of gaming and nothing can compare to the immersion of it. Retail is alright right now but it really can’t compare to the atmosphere of an RPPVP realm in vanilla, TBC, and WOTLK.

I have never said grobb died.
Im saying other servers do.
Makes way more sense in this fresh to have fewer servers, you may not agree and thats fine.
Im pretty sure this is exaclty why blizzard is doing this tho.
So the Non-RPPVP servers died.
The original RPPVP server, Grobbulus, lived.

Very funny considering Grobb is currently Medium pop on Cata Classic, while Faerlina, Makrik and Pagle are all sitting at high.
And on Era, Grobbulus is Low while 10 other regular PvP servers are sitting at medium.

Crucially here, Grobbulus is not the reason why the other servers died. The playerbase shrank due to Cataclysm, but there are still other non-RP realms doing well from what I’ve seen.

But retention of players interested in the RP-PvP play style and atmosphere would take a nose dive if being shoehorned in with them was the only option.

I mean if they add RP-PvP realm I’m going to roll there 100% I think you just get a different vibe of people there.
Obviously, not everyone is rolling there for the RP vibes, but you will see way more lore fitting names and conversations in /say that are just out of character chat.
People meme on RP walking, but being in a large group of people that are doing the RP march up the path to battle is always making great memories!
