I have given nothing but facts. I have given the history, the timelines, etc.
This is why you aren’t being taken seriously. You say things that have no basis.

I’m definitely interested in an RPPVP server as is the guild I’m attempting to build.
I’ve got three people(including myself) ready for the PVP server so far.
I’m hoping some RPers roll there regardless so I can scoop them up.

I’m willing to risk Blizzard completely flopping the RP servers like they did to SoD and EU. I would rather risk it than not have it at all.

I’m speaking to the fact that servers die every time wow launches something new.

They just need to release one (1) PVP serer alongside the RP server or everybody who’s in the queue for the PVP server will go to the RPPVP server and then complain that it doesn’t have 40,000 players.

I’m not ignorant to the subject matter and I haven’t been asking for citations…
I wish, but I was burnt out as heck with Classic at the time! I was focusing more on my irl hobbies as I felt like I was slacking for a good while.
also big brain move to blizz:
- Announce the PVP server. Let the streamers settle in.
- wait a few hours (1-2h) then announce RP-PVP
- Steamers are now locked in to their pvp server to not lose their hours of progress and rpers get time to make their characters on an rp server.

It is all trolling. It’s always on the same handful topics and always is the same.
He does it to kill time at work mostly.
He’s had many forum vacations from the trolling too (some up to 6 months) but comes back when those are done and acts the exact same way, I’m not sure how he kills time at work when on those vacations.
Don’t take any of it seriously. Flag if you would like.

This would unfortunately risk streamers opting for the RP server if they don’t release the names early.
Maybe they could offer transfers from the RP to the PvP realm(s) after queues calmed if this became an issue?

I doubt it.
Last time they tried that it was Crusader Strike and the RP guilds were openly hostile to them.
While I’m still hopeful for an actual RP-PVP server, I figured I should let y’all know I just found out about a Discord server made specifically for RPers on the regular PvP server on the chance we aren’t successful! So, definitely seems like there’s going to be a community regardless, which is a bright side.

from realms like Emerald Dream and Venture Company, the RPPVP community has been around for a long time and had a strong presence on Retail and on Grobbulus and Deviate Delight. A botched SOD launch doesn’t mean that we don’t deserver a server! Grobbulus had lots of activity and even has an RPPVP community even now! in 2019 there was countless RP events and there can be countless more! RPers are some of WoW’s biggest fans and are the ones who are still obsessed with the story 20 years later! (Or, longer in some cases such as the Blacktooth Grin, who based themselves upon orcs from the second war). Please let us play on an RPPVP server as was in 2019!

I don’t think anybody said you were inherently wrong that it would happen, and if they did that’s their own problem, but it still doesn’t change that it would be nicer to have a dedicated server for it entirely. We’ll see what happens come Thursday!
