Got to level 20 on Nightslayer and just can’t be bothered anymore.
Leveling on an RPPvP realm is a long-term investment of time and effort, because I get the PvE, the instanced PvP, the world PvP, and the RP all just like back in vanilla WoW.
Whereas leveling on a PvP realm just feels like a waste of time.
Sad.

At this point I think its a lost cause. A new server at this point is surely doomed to die.
My only hope is that when TBC rolls around they might give it to us then. It would satisfy our desires, but also the desires of people who’d want a fresh TBC classic experience.

I don’t think a new server is doomed to die because RP folk don’t mind the population being low as long as the people are committed to it.
The thing that waters down my hopium is that they just won’t give us a definitive answer one way or another.
Is it “not yet wait for later?” Or is it “No and stop wasting your time hoping.”?
Literally any communication on the subject would clear all of that doubt up. I can’t believe we’re this far into this and still getting the cold shoulder.

I’ve been seeing major complaints about every layer being full and questing in certain zones being “impossible”.
Some are even calling for new realms.
Could it be…?

nah, if they make it RP-PVP, it will have enough to be enjoyable 
and it seems like a common complaint these days is it’s just too hard to farm/quest in popular zones. blizzard said they would be willing to make new realms if it was necessary, so i am hopeful.

But then this brings us back to the original issue of it becoming a lifeboat for people fleeing the other servers for reasons other than wanting to RP.
well we’ll just have to deal with it i’d like to think we’ll be getting the best of nightslayer. the masses will not want to leave their super duper important megaserver.

I suppose I’d be happy for any port in a storm, but I’d rather it be truly fresh—aka no transfers. That would greatly strap down the amount of people using it as a lifeboat and make it a haven for those actually into the RP.
oh of course there will be no transfers everyone will have to reroll

I admit, I’ve pretty much given up hope on there being any RP realm for now. We may get one come TBC, but I’m curious how a realm opened up then would do… That all aside though, I still want an RP server and if we don’t get one for these Anniversary server, in no way do I want Blizzard to see this all as complacency.
Classic WoW RP should not be forgotten! If we don’t have a server now, then I sure as hell think they better give us one next time. It’s not the same experience and it won’t be no matter how much of a best effort we put into it. Mega servers are crap.
