Disc is so much weaker than the rest of the healers. PLEASE ROLL BACK SOME OF THE NERFS.

I just wish they would revert the nerf, but I kinda get why they haven’t. Disc scales really well with gear that comes later, so especially with the nerf it’s gonna look and feel a bit weaker right now.

They are wanted for the utility their HPS output is awful.

I would argue a tune down was needed. The extent they did it to was way to much. Disc went from toe to toe with resto shaman as on of the best HPS classes in MOP to the dog water of HPS classes.
They should have just trimmed it down like they did resto shaman. Instead they gutted the 90 row talent and clipped the part that makes the class unique with no trades. For real a healing rain competes with disc on HPS. A spell… from arguably the best healing class in the game… one spell… that smart heals from the floor… is almost a disc priest in HPS. Not to mention they have utility for days. A couple of big CDs…
Its just sad really. Again… a little nob down… probably alright… the gutting they got? Ridiculous.

Disc is extremely good for some fights in T15 like heroic Tortoros, so even if you arent the absolute best healers in the game you are still valuble and will have a raid spot so dont worry about it too much.

Buff hpal if they buff disc I won’t tolerate the absorb overlay in my raid buddy
The only buff i think disk needs is a mana efficiency buff.
And not a big buff either. Just a slight nudge.
Example reduce the mana cost of the power word shield by 10%. Just a slight nudge is needed in the mana efficiency and it will be where it needs to be.

Chief complaint that every player in the game has… bro… this healer heals well… but they have barrier… so lets make them heal like utter trash for it… thats whats best for the game for sure… for real real… best healer in mop down to a thanks for the barrier bro spec… coo coo

If discipline priest raw heal as well as other healers, plus shields and mitigation cooldowns, what’s the point of other healers? Raids can just stack 5 discipline priests.

They should buff it but make it heal diminished per target
Example it heals 5% less per additional target inside of it after the 3rd target. Up to 30% less healing. The mana cost reduced by 10%
pretty sure that already happens at 6 targets
And reducing the number before the diminishing occurs is a nerf.
But it regains a little mana efficiency in return.
That’s nuts. I actually remember how powerful disc was in retail Mop and it does NOT need to be that overpowered. If Disc is underperforming right now then of course im down for some buffs to bring it back in line with other healing specs.
It’s important to remember though that disc is unique in that it also does decent damage (not as much as a DPS but still not too shabby) and isnt a traditional healer. Disc works by preventing damage. This is an important and relevant distinction. If anything, I like to think of Disc as a raid wide active damage mitigation spec rather than traditional healers, and that is always valuable. Even if that’s not a totally accurate depiction of Disc it is close enough to get the point across.
